Going forward after these elections when our children sing the national anthem in their schools, the line "the labour of our heroes past shall never be in vain" would refer to these brave young men and women, who stood their grounds in hostile communities amidst corrupt party agents and bought over policemen and refused to bulge to vote rigging, if indeed we have gotten it right this time around, then these batch of corpers have truly become the heroes of our democracy!

I salute your unwavering courage and unparalleled patriotism. Nigerians are very proud of you for the selfless service you rendered to our fatherland. We will remember all of you in our folk lores as generals; who lived in the dens of lions and defended Nigeria. We will tell generations to come of April 9, April 16 and April 26; and encourage them to tell their children and children's children. As we tell the stories with tears, we will mention you; distringuished members of National Youth Service Corps.

in my office I tried admonishing a corper to join but she said she was scared.
Am so happy and proud of those that did participate. I had the always believed using them was the best option available as most inec workers are too compromised.
May Allah bless them all in their endeavors.
i wish this happened when i served.

not all of them will be saints.
but you would be more objective if you would acknowledge the ''overall'' performance of the squad.

To those Corpers who did the work diligently,To those Corpers that were not compromised like the guy in the U-tube video in Rivers State I pray that you get  the reward of a better Nigeria,no matter the state of the Nation, the country will favour you every where you go.You guys will be rewarded by the country in every way.

For those who got compromised, I pray that they receive the reward of a bad Nigeria, even when the country gets better their reward will be that of the ills of the country.

A party came and gave me 5k as a tip for the hardwork i put in at my polling unit in Plateau State and not to help them rig oo!!! (i won't mention the party). But i would say im proud of myself despite the not too good environment we are working in and meagre pay we are given by INEC. Its a lifetime experience, can't wait to be done in June. Thank you Nigerians for putting your faith in us.

The Youth Corp Members are always willing to give their best, be it at Election time, Census time, immunization time or through various other community development projects. But my question is: Why does Nigerian government repay good with evil? Why does a corper earn 9500 naira a month and a senator earn 12 million naira a month? Why did the government spend 86 billion naira on this election and paid corpers who did the job mere 7000 naira, which is barely enough for their transportation?

Thanks for your observation, i felt really sad when i heard we would be paid 7000 naira . And considering the stress, time consumption of the job, the money is too small.

please does any one know any link for me to lay my complain.

Our Youth and Corpers have proven once more that we are not as bad as they make us look.

All hail our brave corpers, despite the small pay, difficult terrain, harsh weather, bomb blast in some places and all other obstacles they had the courage to work assiduously to see to the achievement of the objective of this election.

Corpers una too much
