Why Africa Is Still Poor . by TheSourcerer: 10:30am On Apr 01, 2021
Contrary to mainstream media , that we had slaves , yes we did , but slaves here was not same as American Slaves , never worked plantations and died , whipped , no the slaves here actually integrated with the chiefs or owners , treated them with respect some even integrated to the family , (especially the Yoruba's ) , The Igbo's well had a segregational style of slaves , more traditionally or culturally linked (called OSus )

Now why did we not Develop like our Sister continents ? No it wasnt a planned plot to impoverish Africa , it just became suitable and as it worked over time it became reliable and profitable to impoverish Africa

During the times of Empires , The Roman Empires , Greeks , There was the Shongai Empire , Mali , Empire and do many African Empires we never heard of still to this day , now what happened ?

Re: Why Africa Is Still Poor . by TheSourcerer: 10:38am On Apr 01, 2021
These African Empires had Armies , Educational centers , Medicine , bit there was another way of making money to our new found counterparts (the Europeans /Americas ) , selling slaves to get profit , and yes they did . and even made Mali have one of the richest men to ever exist in the 1st World.
But then the idea of slavery was been questioned as been humane (even though the bible supports slavery ) , it was later found out slavery is wrong , and Africa whose basic means of making profit were slaves , Agriculture and minerals (which were already owned by the Brits )

When slavery became illegal in the industrial era , our means of profit dwindled so bad , as the world developed right in our eyes , iron ore , steam to power trains , gold , ,factories , even 80 percent of the device you are holding to view this was originally from Congo , so where do we fit in ? When our only source of income is now illegal , and the world was developing fast .

Delude yourself, why don't you! Perhaps you are one of those who missed out on history, or never read wide enough so it can be said that you "never heard of still to this day", when the truth is you covered your eyes with your hands and stuck your fingers in your ears.

We might not have whipped or chained our slaves because we hardly needed to since we never found a use for as many as America did except where there were resources like mines when we did chain them, and where we didn't we successfully imprisoned their minds and they obeyed for fear of death, but our gods loved slaves as sacrifices and we loved feeding our gods.

Resources. That's why we are poor. We just are not resourceful enough, the greatest resource being our minds.

worse part is they worked to death

The Obas didn't know this, they say the Europeans as equals with Africans , they saw the idea that the slaves would obviously treat the Africans the same way slaves were treated in Africa . it was not , it changed the course of black history , and perception of the Black Man Worldwide .

This is the right and near perfect explanation.
What solution do you propose?

We need to develop our minds. Kind of like become as children and abandon our preconceived beliefs and look at things anew and with fresh eyes in order to be reborn.

Basically, we should evolve from the 'age of believing' that we are currently in, into the 'age of use the senses' so we can progress into the Age of Enlightenment.

And we are on our way already, I dare say, slow as it seems, which is unfortunately the nature of evolution. One just need read the numerous threads of the unbelievers to see how much progress is being made. And one day there'll be a seismic shift of minds. And voila!

I suppose time is relative, and I do expect the evolving I described to happen in my lifetime just as I claimed it already is, and with individuals like TheSourcerer diligently working at it, I am absolutely certain this Evolution will be very fast.

Who is "we"?
There's no "we" considering the selfishness and greed that so many RICH politicians in Nigeria and some other African countries have.
There's no "we" that is poor.
