What about the Eze Ndigbo that was flogged in Akure about 6 years ago for disrespecting the Deji of Akure?
He was flogged simply because he honoured an invitation to Deji's palace. Thank God it was resolved amicably and Eze Ndigbo maintained his kingship. If IPOB was sent to create tension then, same you would have lamented about it. Violence doesn't pay bro

Show me source you dey talk trash.

Igbos and efiks have nothing in common before the arrival of the British.
Efik tribe was under Igbo supremacy in old Eastern region. Check well, Igbos dominate their indigenous SE and SS too.

What about Akure? In fact it's not about Eze, an average igbo lack respect of culture of any place he finds himself.

I think you should be concerned with correcting this flaw. That is my only problem with igbo, stop abusing my leader and my culture.
Yes, so long as Igbos pay tax and have legitimate business everywhere in Nigeria, they have right to exercise same right as the indigenes there. I know this message will be hard for you to swallow but I don't care.

Old Eastern region was created by the British. Igbos dominated because they were the majority.

And the old Eastern region Government didn't last for up to 8.

The domination ended after Gowon split the Eastern region into 3 states..

This is pure politics... Inno on came to calabar... Went to unica, finished with his assignment there and was taken to the home of the Eze who happens to come from the state Anambra state as himself.... I know this because I saw the video of innocent in the home of the Eze and such visits always come with something....

I believe r do not know if he equally visited the Ogbon or not... He is a private man and for now, doesn't have business interest in calabar... He may not see the need for such a visit since he is not a government official
Na jealousy and envy dey worry dem with their yeye stupid quit notice. Ndi ala
Innoson that identified with his brother, Eze Ndigbo has a reason of doing so in line with Igbo spirit of brotherhood. God punish that dog eater called Obong or Ogbon of Calabar. Nonsense

In his context of usage it was entirely wrong.
He wasn't addressing a group of bodies or persons or whatever, (a context in which 'a people' is grammatically correct) he was addressing a single person and as such it's wrong to have addressed him as a people.
He obviously didn't address one person as "a people." By "a people," he meant Igbo people as a collective. Go read his comment again.

Yes, Gowon did that to reduce Igbo's widespread in old Eastern region. But nothing has really changed since all the Southern States have significant number of Igbos residing there. Rest bro, this is no argument.

States were created to reduce the majority tribes dominance in the three regions. Is one of the reason the Mid West was created from the Western region.

It has nothing to do with Igbo widespread in old Eastern region. Without the British, there would have been nothing like the Eastern region.

The Eastern region was created by the white man, even Igbo land was merge together by the British.

So guy, am not arguing with you... Just teaching you history.

So you're proud of how your people are misbehaving up and down in other people's lands right? I'm a Cross Riverian and I strongly condemn the action by the so - called Eze.

Misplaced priority. How does what he stated above relates to him been proud of what the Eze did?? Mind you, it's just the Eze that was at fault here and not the entire Igbo people. BTW, the Story looks fishy, how can the Eze claim to be the Obong inside Unical, is it that the people doesn't know their Obong??

That is what I'm saying. I meant to say certain Igbos from Abia and Ebonyi States. An Anambra man is Igbo and is in no way related with an Efik man, an Abiriba man from Abia State is equally Igbo but he is related to an Efik man. Abiriba dialect can't be understood by most Igbos, some of them answer names like "Inyang","Uko","Udo","Ikpeh",e.t.c They also call their king "Enachioken" instead of "Eze", and unlike many Igbo groups had a monarchical system of government.

I've read the history of Igbos,AkwaCross and other parts of Niger Delta, so I'm well aware of all these.

What do you expect from someone who has lived all his life in Ogbomosho? One who thinks Nigeria starts from Lagos and ends in Ogbomosho

These greedy "developers" are at it again ! They would come from their erosion ravaged land of criminals to be dragging right of ownership with their hosts ! I have never seen any other group of people with such high level of complexity like our apu eaters from the east.

Several years ago, somebody was preaching national unity and "one Nigeria" up and down simply because he had his greedy eyes set on Lagos. Mr Azikiwe preferred to be Premier of western region than to be Premier of his native eastern region ! Chai, that's the very height of low self esteem ! He had a very crappy opinion of where he came from and its people. He would rather prefer to govern the highly civilised and sophisticated Yorubas in their equally well developed cities.

How would the village man not want to proclaim himself as the Obong of Calabar when he and his people are never proud of where they come from ? Anyway, what is there to be proud of ? Hence,Lagos is a"no man's Land" ! We own Calabar ! Benue is Igbo land ! We developed Malaysia ! We run South Africa ! We.....blah,blah,blah !

Obong of Calabar indeed ! Igbo kwenu o !
