Kobojunkie:Nobody said Buhari started it. Everybody is saying Buhari can stop it. I read a report that he was asked with trouble in North by your supporters, what message do you have for them?and his response was "l want INEC to explain the results in some polling stations first" Do you think that's the right answer? |
Re: Kano Is On Fire by Kobojunkie: 1:33pm On Apr 18, 2011 |
stiyke: Yeah, I understand . . . there are folks out there who get irritated when logic they push gets questioned . .I get that. Now, please get to answering the question sometime this century please. If you like assume me the father of all your kids, that won't phase me . . . I am more interesting in learning if your assumptions are based on facts at all. |
Re: Kano Is On Fire by EzeUche2(m): 1:34pm On Apr 18, 2011 |
Even Buhari cannot stop it. He missed the critical moment to calm his people when he lost. But he said NOTHING! Now we have to prepare for the end results. |
Re: Kano Is On Fire by stiyke(m): 1:34pm On Apr 18, 2011 |
Kobojunkie: So madam KoboJunk, what u just said above happened when?? today?? yesterday?? or two days ago?? or did Kaduna hold their own election today or yesterday?? I said it your reason , |
Re: Kano Is On Fire by Kobojunkie: 1:35pm On Apr 18, 2011 |
Mariory: I actually ought to be telling you that as the article you posted there DOES NOT LINK THIS to BUHARI in the way you PRETEND TO. Again, go back and answer the question asked. And maybe take some more time to ruminate on the message contained in th link you provided at least. You are busy condemning a man, who is not even a leader in Kano, nor was he even able to win in the state, for the actions of the protesters as if he incited them in some way. GOSH!!! |
Re: Kano Is On Fire by monkeyleg: 1:38pm On Apr 18, 2011 |
Guys let us drop these political debates and face the issue @ hand. Innocent people are being threatened and harmed and we must unite to totally condemn it |
Re: Kano Is On Fire by TeeJay6(m): 1:38pm On Apr 18, 2011 |
buhari's silence only points to one thing, that he would rather see people die needlessly to spite the establishment or even make a point that the election was rigged. This is someone who ruled the nation and was around during the civil war, surely one would expect that care for human life to overshadow any grieviance he has against INEC or GEJ for that matter. |
Re: Kano Is On Fire by Mariory(m): 1:38pm On Apr 18, 2011 |
Kobojunkie: What is wrong with you? If someone is going on the rampage in your name and you do nothing to stop it, does that not link the situation to you? Are you not partly responsible for doing nothing? |

Re: Kano Is On Fire by Kobojunkie: 1:40pm On Apr 18, 2011 |
Tee_Jay: WOW!!! So the president is once again INNOCENT and HELPLESS ( even after being able to make deals to get him votes in the North)? Are you guys kidding me? The president who controls the Federal Police, the Army etc. is the INNOCENT HELPLESS ONE yet again, while an ordinary CIVILIAN is to be blamed for it all simply for not saying what you want him to when you want?? WOW!! |
Re: Kano Is On Fire by stiyke(m): 1:40pm On Apr 18, 2011 |
An indefinite curfew has been imposed on the North West state of Kano over rising cases of violence. The violence according to reports, is a fallout of the announced results of the presidential election held, Saturday, across the country. State governor and Presidential candidate of the ANPP, Ibrahim Shekarau invoked the curfew on the state, Monday, in the state capital. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2011/04/breaking-news-indefinite-curfew-imposed-on-kano/ http://www.vanguardngr.com/2011/04/breaking-news-24-hr-curfew-imposed-on-kaduna/ @KoboJunk get it right, Buhari did not tell them to start riot yesterday or today i assume, but when you tell your followers to lynch and use violence to register their protests. You should at least be reasonable enough to say he incited his followers to put it in a mild way. |
Re: Kano Is On Fire by hercules07: 1:41pm On Apr 18, 2011 |
@Agaba So Buhari controls the Army and the Police, he is now the CinC that can stop riots, please advise your brother Jonathan to act presidential. |
Re: Kano Is On Fire by Kobojunkie: 1:42pm On Apr 18, 2011 |
stiyke: I am sorry but what you have above is actually a LIE. Please go back and re-read what was actually said. We had a long one here where people used their Translator, even after Hausa speaking members came in to correct the LIE to verify that one. GHosh!! |
Re: Kano Is On Fire by OmoTier1(m): 1:43pm On Apr 18, 2011 |
EzeUche_:very foolish comments. If we are to go along your line of logic, why would any tribe want to be with a drug peddling,419ers,greedy, cheats, and sellers of inferior goods and commodities like the igbos? While no one is in support of what these youths are doing, I do not think calling them names would help quell thier anger brought about by apparent violation of thier fundamental right to choose by those powers that be in the north supported by the central FG. I stand to condem both the provocators and those carrying out these violence. |

Re: Kano Is On Fire by hercules07: 1:44pm On Apr 18, 2011 |
@stiyke Buhari asked the people to defend their votes, JEGA asked people to defend their votes, why do we blame those who try to do the right things? |

Just heard that the VP's house in KD was burnt, can anyone confirm? |
Re: Kano Is On Fire by OmoTier1(m): 1:45pm On Apr 18, 2011 |
Kano has been at peace for so long a time that people took for granted how much it cost to achieve that peace! |
Re: Kano Is On Fire by Kobojunkie: 1:45pm On Apr 18, 2011 |
Mariory: um . . . NO it doesn't . . . If I am a freaking civilian and you of your own decide to take up a fight because you feel you were cheated in some way, why am I to blame for your action? Why are my to blame for your crime when it is possible you are being incited by your own leaders, who I have little or no control over to do what you are doing? You folks on here have conveniently painted Buhari into some monster over something you are INCAPABLE of directly linking the man to and you somehow feel you are right to do so?? Especially when we have a president who controls the forces and should have been doing his work even after the elections?? WOW!! |
Re: Kano Is On Fire by Mariory(m): 1:48pm On Apr 18, 2011 |
hercules07: Defending your vote is the same has burning churches and homes of innocent civilians? Did the churches vote? Did those families rig your election? You sound like a religious fanatic. |
Re: Kano Is On Fire by TeeJay6(m): 1:49pm On Apr 18, 2011 |
Kobojunkie:Deal making is part and parcel of modern day politics, ACn/CPC tried to form an alliance on the eve of the election for your info. And where did I say Buiahri is to be blamed? I said his continued silence can only mean he is more concerned about his ambition to be president and not make a clear and categorical stand against the violence and killing which is obviously taking place by people who directly or indirectly are his sympathisers |
Re: Kano Is On Fire by Kobojunkie: 1:49pm On Apr 18, 2011 |
And where does this MAGIC LOGIC that Buhari can stop it come from?? The man could not even get his own people to vote in large numbers for him . . . but somehow he can stop people from protesting when they feel their right has been infringed upon? WOW . . why have you folks not come up with the same ridiculousness when Niger Delta was boiling for Jonathan Goodluck when he was refused the presidency last year? Gosh!! |
Re: Kano Is On Fire by escobar(m): 1:49pm On Apr 18, 2011 |
Elections were not free and fair and people have a right to protest@GEN Buhari, your protests should be peaceful and not violent. You don't have the right to take lives. You claim you know God and worship God, but you go against His directives "Do not kill" Your assertions have shown where you placed yourself. The polls you posted here via the link above can as well be manipulated. People can register with different names and vote since there is no IP restriction and no biometric monitoring. Foreign observers reported that the election has been a great deviation from the usual Nigerian election which are marred by rigging and violence. The conviction you need(apart from the eye witness reports) is how could Jonathan, a minority from the smallest state in Nigeria, get a country-wide popularity. That was the magic and proof you need. This is Nigerians talking for what they believe in. If you are in anyway, reasonable, you have to go against wanton destruction of lives and properties. Your location says UK, and i pray you do not start the riot there or plant bombs. Infact i would log your IP to Scotland yard via Interpol for serious monitoring. |
Re: Kano Is On Fire by presido1: 1:52pm On Apr 18, 2011 |
Omo_Tier1:Even if you are right here, those Igbos you don't want to be with want to be on their on also but you people wun't let them. Its either you like the fake drug, 419 and greedy Igbos or you can't live without them. The day the northerners will want to live nobody will blink and eye lid. Thatz the diff. Somebody is needed at all cost while somebody is not needed. |
Re: Kano Is On Fire by OmoTier1(m): 1:54pm On Apr 18, 2011 |
In-no-cent:with your comment, i am left with no choice than to conclude that your level reasoning is only marginally bettr than those you mentioned in your post. |
Re: Kano Is On Fire by Mariory(m): 1:54pm On Apr 18, 2011 |
Kobojunkie: Taking up the fight translates to burning houses, churches, and killing your fellow man? When these things happen anyone and I mean anyone who values human life will make an effort to stop it. All Buhari had to do was tell his supporters not to be violent. That's all he had to do. That's all. |

There should be more protests as Buhari rightly won these elections see online poll: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-585935.0.html |

I thought we have a President? Where is he? What has he said so far? Buhari has been on Al Jazeera to call for calm. Where is the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria? And this rioting has just started. Spreading from Gombe to Kaduna to Minna, to Kano, to Zaria, all within hours. Here is a comment I just read from one of the BB fan pages on facebook: Nigeria sai Buhari wallahi. God purnish all pdp dia. We dnt hav biz wit any innocient persons. We knw our targets.
