Since the beginning of time, man has been treacherous, manipulative, a liar, schemer and fraudulent in his dealings. This behavior of man wasn’t limited to other humans, but God also who thought he could have companionship with him. Man learnt to be jealous, which led to his very first murder. Similarly, he evolved from using crude methods to using sophisticated weapons to kill and destroy.
There are men in history who proved that man is capable of great evil. Adolf Hitler was one of those men who was responsible for the death of 5 million Jews. Futhermore, Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin was a Georgian dictator, he had 20 million deaths under his belt. While men like Mao ZeDong, Osama bin Ladan, Saddam Hussaini and Kim Jong-un are just few of the men who brought terror to the world. None of these men succeeded in their attempt to destroy the world, because they were stopped.
The people who stopped these men did so save the oppressed. However, since man’s intentions have never been pure, they couldn’t save the oppressed without an ulterior motive. They would save a nation with one hand and loot them with the other. Sometimes, these deliverers would pitch their tents in the nation they claimed to save and refuse to go back. This always happened because even the victims were guilty of some kind of evil.
God in an attempt to cleanse the earth sent rain, so he could have a fresh start with a righteous man, this failed because man’s very nature lies wickedness. God knew he had to use another method to save everyone. He also knew only a man could save a man. So, he came as a man, relinquishing his rights to divinity, just so that he could save humanity from destroying himself.
This man named Jesus saw the wickedness being perpetuated on earth and still decided that he wanted to save the world, because he believed everyone deserved a chance at redemption.
The first lesson man taught him, was from his own relatives who didn’t believe in him. Next, the very people he was trying to save began to look for ways to kill him. Finally, man tried to show him, who was in charge by using his close buddy to trap him. They made sure the worse kind of punishment known. in an attempt to get rid of him.
He was brought before a judge who declared him ‘not guilty’, despite this verdict. He was flogged, spat on, dragged through the city all in an attempt to embarrass him, finally he was nailed to the cross. No matter the punishment he faced, he was resolute in his decision not to give up on man rather despite the agony he still forgave man.
Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:7-8
Through his death came life for all those who would believe on his name for the saving of their souls. He wants to see you saved, and nothing you do will know how he wouldn’t be interested in you. This Jesus didn’t come for the righteous but the unsaved. Just surrender your life to him and experience the privileges of the saved. stop him from coming after you.
Say this prayer, lord Jesus I surrender to your work on the cross, I also believe you rose that I might have life. I know I am saved.
If you said this prayer, send an email to achanyaene@yahoo.com, for counselling and prayer.
