Yet to get a job though. I am a web designer/developer, also a graphic designer but getting clients has been a huge problem this year. I see a lot of folks getting jobs and then I wonder what exactly am I doing wrong.

Recently sat for an online exam for an outsourcing firm (VLA). Yet to get my result or invite.

Please, who knows a thing or two about VLA exams? I am seriously confused about what next to do

For the main time, I'm still hustling at Alaba int'l market. Check my signature, please. Thank you

I know VLA. A close friend works for First Bank through them. Keep hope alive, they are real and should reach out to you anytime. It is well, bro

Hanging out is not a must, and if you must, have a budget for it. Saving is a must for me. Any other things comes after that had been removed. So plan with whatever remains. Set your priorities first.

God bless your hustle Bro... I am also into graphics design and photography... Have you tried selling yourself out using facebook ads?

If you don't have money for ads then try using organic reach, you could be making facebook posts of your old jobs on groups related to what you offer.

What will the private schools teachers steal? Avoid generalisations. Many Nigerians are surviving based on the communal lifestyle and fear/love of God shown towards them. By God's grace, I have received help from Christian brethren when I ask this year as well as from family and that's how I have also done my little to help those around me especially those I see that I can help and those who ask when I have.
NIGERIANS ARE GOOD PEOPLE, I PRAY FOR THE DAY THIS NATION/S WILL HAVE GOD-FEARING LEADERS TO HELP HARNESS OUR POTENTIALS.

That is false
Nigerians are no good people.
I can give you 1001 reasons.

I know how hard it can be earning peanuts yet responsibilities keep mounting... It's very hard indeed.

The truth is, a man has to raise a family, with or without money.
A man who earns more wants to send his kids to the best schools, while a struggling family man sends them to schools he can afford.
We normally say, "Big man, big trouble."
No matter how you look at, raising a family isn't easy for anyone, both rich and poor.
So, the best bet is for a man to start raising a family, working hard and hoping for a better tomorrow.

It is this same mentality that continues to make people create something they can't take care of.

There are men that have no interest in raising kids, and they're those that do. The bottomline is one must be financially and emotionally prepared to raise kids- simple as ABC!!!

If you have none of these, then you have NO business bringing innocent kids into this world to suffer, while hoping for a "better tomorrow" nonsense.

In saner climes, you'll be forced to work your ass to stupor to take care of those kids or end up in jail. Perhaps then and only then would you realise, raising kids ain't for everyone.

Nigerian mentality has already bastardized the psyche of a lot of us. We just tend to do whatever the fvck we want.

My lady too is a police officer, I had to read carefully to be sure you weren't telling my whole life stories, I must confess it's not easy for a man to have a woman who's earning more than himself in terms of salary, to think that these police officers brings money home daily from work ranging from 6k to 10k daily as a result of brides and all, before they will still get paid at d end of the month Lol. But wait bro, I was just wondering, which government job increases salary exponentially from 35k to 135k? Your response will be appreciated.
Its surprising anyway! TCN is d company's name. Transmission company of Nigeria. Their staffs could be compared to NNPC staffs....they are well paid, if only you could be opportned to get in. Mind you, 6yrs working with them,I still remain as a contract staff...that shows how hard and difficult it is to be a permanent staff.

Wisest decision you will make even though most of your colleagues would disagree. People get stuck to bad and dangerous jobs for fear of not finding another. Be strategic. Make bold steps. Be serious about your life. But don't ever settle for such low jobs because they take all your time and drain your energy. Now you can't think clearly and you don't have the time to pursue other things, plus your boss breaths down your neck constantly

Unless if the job affords you plenty of time to do other things, don't ever settle for these useless teaching jobs. And some of you could negotiate better terms but for fear of what I can't explain you take whatever is handed.

Exactly! I'm taking my bold step with pride sef. I cannot come and kill myself.

Bro don't be deceive, dropshipping is not easy and you gonna need money to start.
It's something that can take months with lots of money pure in ads to start making sells.

First you'll need an e-commerce website and you know how much that will cost.

2ndly you'll need digital marketing skill and if you don't have you'll employ the service of an expert.

Well, you are right in a way. But a poor person who because of poverty refuses to have children is just postponing or let me say lengthening the evil day.
I have seen poor people who produced children and struggled to educate those children, even if it was just public schools, who are enjoying today by depending on those children.

My uncle has four children. He was a teacher like his wife in those days. It was hard. They used to come over every Xmas.
But the first son finished from medical school in 2005 and from the money he earned during out man ship bought his dad a BMW. Today they live in their own house.
If the man had decided not to have children because he was poor. I wonder where he would be now, especially since he worked in osun state where pensions were not paid as and when due. The Koko is to make sure those children get educated.

Okay let's agree with your logic on using kids to make it in life. No forget sey no be every pikin dem send go school dey make am ooo. Raising kids is one helluva job meen!

Most parents have even lost their lives in the process sef. And even if one wants to go by this route, then at least 1/2 is enough, so you can channel proper time and resources to them, than having all the way to 4kids in this harshly dystopian Nigerian economy of today.

Incase you don't know, the Nigeria of Abacha era is far better than the Nigeria of today, evidenced in your Uncle being able to raise 4kids to the University level, and 1 of them even becoming a doctor.

If you know how much education costs now ehn, you go almost piss for your body.

As a business man, if you own your property you still need to make provision for rent. That will allow you to know the profitablity of the business.

Having 4 kids is insane even in the best of times. The emotional burden alone is extraordinary. But for those who already have kids, you just have to hustle like mad. For me, the greatest sin is not taking care of one's kids. No excuse can work unless the man falls sick.

Well they gat no choice. Their children would learn the hard way whether they like it or not.

Being from a Polygamous & divorced home, mother had to raise 5kids all on her own. As I dey, I know the kain water wey I don drink for boarding school, wey mud sediments dey there, and had to separate earthworms from such water before drinking. I've drank free-flowing water that appeared clean from the gutter before. Ive mistakenly eaten faeces I thought was beans on the floor before.

My guy I can go on & on. and it's not as if my mom didn't hustle, she hustled her way till she died of a heart attack while I was in my 500L in medical school. For me to suffer all these things despite an extremely hardworking mom is to let you know prevention is far better than cure.

It's no wonder most parents take their own lives when they can't bear to see their kids suffer.

I'm a medical doctor today, but she didn't live to eat the fruit of her labour. Let's not celebrate suffering
Let's do the right thing for God's sake!

If you no geh money, hide your face when it comes to family. Save your unborn kids the gruesome suffering they'll have to go through because of you letting them come into this world. Strap the fvck up men!

Even Bible talk am for Ecclesiastes 4:3 sey "Yea, better is he than both they, which hath not yet been, who hath not seen the evil work that is done under the sun."

Those wey dem never born na hin dey enjoy pass. Life is crazy oh!
