winterfell007: sometime population is no no ... but a strategy position lagos was with purchasing power of people .. yes population tend to multiply sales but where the purchasing power is low no matter number of population it make no different.... check the population of some northern state some have more than Lagos .... an average cow is been put for sale at 70k while in Lagos the same cow goes for 250k |

Grgton:Rivers should be the next economic hub based on population and huge oil and gas activities. But unfortunately it's just like a Lagos, another upcoming shithole megacity infact, i might agree Lagos is a little better off than rivers. Anambra is trying but hasn't yet found a solid foothold |

oloyedewaris: My statistics is based on the poor infrastructure that will support the 25million (estimate) inhabitants living in Lagos. Lagos is the economic capital of the west Africa region by sheer virtue of the size of her population. Her population is the only thing going for it in terms of business. Population means market. Market is place to sell your goods and services. That's only the reason why Lagos is a megacity. In terms of infrastructure, access to quality health and services, Lagos is far cry compared to other megacities across the world. She should stop forming local champion with her sister states |

lekki1444: Even if we go by that metrics, then Johannesburg is light years ahead of you in terms of infrastructure and quality of life. Would you also say Johannesburg is older than Lagos too? ![]() ![]() |

God, what have Lagosians done to have bestowed such a useless leader on Lagosians. The Mile 2 to Lagos island railway has not been completed for more than 10 years, Mile 2 to Badagry road is in bad shape and yet these yeye government wants to commenced another railway construction and some paid jingoist are shouting up and down as if its something worthy of emulation. I'd hope this is not another avenue to steal money since the bullion van landlord will be needing cash to fuel his Presidential ambition. Please Lagosians its time we start asking about bailout fund that was use to purchase buses because those buses has been handed over to the company of a cerrtain private individual immediately Ambrose left government. 1 Like 1 Share |
