You did not do justice to "Singer Market" Description.. That is the largest FMCG market in the North..The turnover in that market runs into billions of Naira daily. All big FMCG players can not ignore the wholesalers in this market if they want to make inroads in the North.. The wholesalers here have customers from all over North, Cameroon, Mali,Niger, Chad , Sudan,even as far as Central Africa..
I was in shock one day when I saw a massive trailer being loaded with goods and was told it was going to Sudan to a customer there.
Forget,Those alhaji's there are multimillionaire's and no get stress.

Those days when I was in marketing , Singer & Sabon Gari was my playground. The experience I gained there was a stepping stone and I will value for a lifetime..

I have been to virtually all those markets and I have also been to other major markets in other states.
The only one that can be called biggest in Northern Nigeria is only Singer market.

Biggest in Nigeria? Capital NO.

Note: Biggest here means both in terms of size and daily turnover.

If you buy anything in kano, I advice that you ask or check for the expiry date. In kano, nothing expires.

Lol... With the Big names you mentioned here, you definitely know & worked in that market.. Mazaf alone that his trucks used to cause hold up for hours on that Bello road. Every morning, 5-7 trucks always loading/offloading goods

On arrival to KANO, after 3months in KANO, I realised that Lagos is the most useless and mad state in Nigeria

No heavy traffic here, no omo-onile wahala, easy life, no Agbero wahala, tfare is cheap, I av more peace of mind in KANO, than Lagos. Accommodation is also cheap here, except some non indigene areas

A bank staff came for audit work in KANO, he arrived the bank premises at 6:30am, security man began laughing oo

In KANO, as a banker, u can wake 7am, and arrive office 8am
The bank staff eventually requested transfer from Lagos to KANO

The only problem is the religious madness and illiteracy here. Nonetheless, I av people who av been here for 20years

The most important thing about KANO is that, just rent a house in a responsible area.
