The cryptocurrency market which made its debut in 2009 has grown geometrically to about $2 trillion in 2021 with sturdy backing from the Wall Street.
Coin base, a cryptocurrency plans to list in New York today.
Paypal now accepts payments in crypto currency. Bitcoin the most popular now has about 18.7 million bitcoins in circulation with a limit of 21 million set by its alleged anonymous founder, Satoshi Nakamoto.
Bitcoin crashed in 2018 and made a rebound and is now valued at around $60,000.
World’s Second Wealthiest man, Elon Musk has publicly endorsed bitcoin and his company, Tesla purchased $1.5 billion worth of it and now accepts it as a medium of making payment for the purchase of the electric car.
According to coinmarketcap, there are about 9000 different crypto currencies in global circulation.
