Man Predicts What Happens To New Countries If Nigeria Breaks Up by Adelaide2: 5:26pm On Apr 14, 2021 |
As seen on Facebook "Here is my prediction for the different components of Nigeria if it breaks up. Only four countries are likely to emerge. 1. The Yoruba will start off much easier than others. The Yoruba have some of the aces (relatively homogenous, access to sea, relatively organized socio-politico-economic system, educated human resources) to start surviving quickly. 2. The Igbo have all that the Yoruba have, except for unquestioned access to sea. But they will suffer seriously for the first couple of years, due to the obvious dislocation of their investments all over Nigeria. There will be chaos due to competition and lack of centralized leadership.. But they will bounce back and become very strong. They will catch up with the Yoruba at some point. 3. The South South will descend into seemingly unending inter ethnic chaos over language, culture, resource allocation, as well as the geographical dislocation (compare location of Cross River to Edo) of their new country. 4. The North will continue life almost as usual (religious problem and insecurity, and subjugation of minorities). They will get poorer over time. But many are already so poor that it really does not matter anymore. As long as the non Muslims don't give any problem, the North will not suffer more than it is doing now. They have the ample land for agriculture. They will adjust to survive. Note that these are predictions, not prophesies. Good luck." 20 Likes 2 Shares |

Somewhat accurate to be honest. Give or take some small variations. It is about human resources above everything else ultimately. With that in mind, the North will only move backwards. Others will fare okay but with challenges of various degrees. 11 Likes |

Fair assessment but a yoruba nation will not be glitters like you think. Religious tension which is already simmering as seen in the back and forth tirades between MURIC and CAN headed by a yoruba as well as the Kwara hijab controversy, may take a dangerous turn into violence or even division if not handled with care. 30 Likes 1 Share |

Brexxit:Bro I wanna ask you a question since you are a Niger Deltan, please why don't you guys just break up this nation, I am sure if you take over the oil those demon sucking northern/fulanis can go thier way but you choose to let them keep exploiting you. Why do you guys choose to earn peanuts while some northerners milk you dry, I am sure if you can initiate this breakup south south will be an amazing country, you have all the ammunitions down and your militants too, what's stopping you guys from being free from these leeches hosting on you, using your money to sponsor terrorism up and down, why are you guys just looking? I am a Yoruba by the way. 28 Likes 1 Share |

AsomughaChuks05: Agreed. But it says Yoruba will do better earlier. Not that it would not have problems at all. Yoruba better forget Kwara, otherwise they will go to war with the North and will likely lose. 2 Likes |

Akudaisi: There will be war over sea access between Igbos and South South. South East don't have access to sea except if they convince Ikwerres and Opobos to join the Igbo country. That's why the post says "unquestioned access". 3 Likes |

Brexxit: My Guy I 100% support Niger delta republic. But where I started scratching my head was when you said oil wealth and being the richest african country. Are you just waking up from coma? Dont you see what is happing to oil in the future? Even Saudi Arabia is panicking because they see the hand writing on the wall and you are here waiting for oil. I already feel sorry for your republic if thats how you guys think. 9 Likes 1 Share |

Adelaide2: So Yoruba have all these goodies but stick to Nigeria will all their lives and breath at it? Yorubas should stop telling themselves lies, because it is obvious thru can't stand the blink of decapitation of Nigeria and the devastating effect on them.. Is there something you guys are not telling us? Secondly what do you mean dislocation of Investment, So Igbos in Ghana, US , britain and pay their taxes now have dislocated investment? What class did you stop before you joined street gossip? Yorubas should leave Nigeria now , afterall you won't be missed, so stop massaging una failed ego. Alakija became rich by oil that is not in Yorubaland and not by any other investment. Otedola became rich because Obasanjo gave him 90% license of kerosene/crude importation. Adenuga same thing.. Tell us who became rich by mere investment outside oil.... Even Dangote and north beats you guys on that though he enjoys monopoly. 32 Likes 2 Shares |

AsomughaChuks05: Stop talking about what you're ignorant of i.e Yoruba culture and the reality of how they have always behaved. Yorubas are deemed , arguably, the most religiously tolerant people on Earth. All this MURIC and CAN issues are imported 'demo' behaviour because of the divisive state of affairs in Nigeria currently. In a nation Yorubas control homogenously 100% , with no external influence in play, we will eat up the likes of Ishtaq Akintola and make him, without financial and vocal support from his radical Northern Moslem brethren, revert to the original setting that necessitate all Yorubas be Yoruba omoluabis before religion, creed or sectional affiliation. Go and worry about your Igbo peeps who discriminate to hamlet level and have always done so long before the 61 years Nigeria has been an independent sovereign nation. The disunity of Igbos and their penchant for discriminating against everything and everyone will be the real challenge for Biafra. You will likely subjugate and kill each other in the early years of Biafra where a naturally clannish people attempt to gain control over others who are different because of religion, creed, caste, gender etal. 24 Likes 3 Shares |

Adelaide2: Myopism is a total disaster unless you are one. You analysis of investment is a street gossip. Those investing in other countries, are they now dislocated because they invested in other countries. Moreover in Nigeria settings I HV avoided arguing on base I am igbo or not but fact as laid. If the Igbos currently in other countries with investment here and there weren't dislocated and still pay taxes who will then dislocate them of their investment. Say something else. 6 Likes 1 Share |

If Nigeria breaks today ...south east or igbo land is the only place that the GDP would instantly grow because of return of people with money and investment We have access to sea alright ...abia and the rest even ebonyi ....if niger Delta would be wicked enough not to allow our ships pass the water we share ...the we would fight for it Competition is what makes us great ....Igbos would still love to other places to do business ...but the difference is they would be importing the goods from igbo land 24 Likes 1 Share |

Adelaide2:forget about land boundaries which is what is confusing you,if we go our separate ways, for example Igbos excluding the ones in Cross River,Delta and Rivers State, let's assume those go with Nigeria,we will still have access to the sea because our River runs directly to the Atlantic ocean which is how others got the sea too,no one has the sea so once you have direct access to the sea you can use it,I wish someone with more vast knowledge on this matter can lecture you well 5 Likes 1 Share |

Brexxit:Hope you know that Venezuela with less confusion and inter ethnic crisis than South South have the largest oil reserve in the world. Look at them now. Almost 60 year civil war, presidential crisis since two years ago, poorest in South America, a disgrace to Latin Countries and still not in control of themselves. Look at Congo. Congo is supposed to be the richest in Africa based on resources but now Congo is a very big mining site. Look at Mali. The gold capital of the world with gold mines but zero gold reserve, controlled by French. My dear this is why I am strongly against inclusion of any part of South South in Biafra. You can't have what half of the world wants and expect peace if you don't submit your future. It is better to build from a homogeneous country with one ideology. This is what Ndigbo have over other groups in Nigeria. Ndigbo have one ideology. Niger Delta might have a chance if they submit to US for protection sha 12 Likes 1 Share |
