It is another round of 1442 AH Ramadan fasting, following the sighting of the moon. This, which is according to Almighty Allah's injunction to all believers of the faith, that they may be counted worthy of his bountiful blessings and get forgiveness of sins.

Nigerian Youth Congress, NYC, has sent greetings to Muslim faithful as Ramadan commences, urging the Muslim youths to pray for Peace, Progress, and Development of Nigeria.

According to the President, Nigerian Youth Congress, Blessing Akinlosotu, "I congratulate my Muslim brothers and sisters for witnessing yet another blissful month of the Ramadan. We sincerely acknowledge Allah for his mercies upon us all and as a nation".

Akinlosotu convened this in a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Media Relations, Emmanuel Daudu, in Abuja, on Tuesday.

Akinlosotu who further described the month of Ramadan as a period of spiritual uplift and total commitment to Allah, charged Muslims to take adequate vantage of the Holy month and avail themselves more into the services of Allah and Humanitarian activities as to not only better the lives of people around them but to transform the country at large.

He also noted that "Almighty Allah Subjanahu wa ta'ala (SWT) directs, "o you who have believed, as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous"-Surat Al-Baqarah 2:183", disclosing that all youths in the country should acknowledge the fact that they are the live-wire tailored toward the success of the nation and as such should be mind made up in ensuring that Nigeria gets greater beyond where it is, now.
