I am talking about locally produced rice. Why is it expensive despite Buhari's protectionist policies?

BECAUSE NIGERIAN PEOPLE (the traders) in the supply chain ARE DISHONEST and profiteers!

How do you know we are not producing our basic foods?
THE IMPORTATION VOLUME AND BILLS plus fraud by Nigerians at Central bank, The ports and customs.

The Nigerian people.........difficult to rule or manage. Everybody is desperate leading us to the the jaga jaga stampede for resources.

West Africa for a start.

But it should not just be restricted to only innoson business.

We can replicate it in other sectors of the economy by a thinking govt.

Even our tech firms

We are not ready to fix the economy, at this rate, let's just continue to pray Oil remains relevant, because if oil goes down, Nigeria will crumble. No state, I repeat, no state in Nigeria can survive the pending doom, not even Lagos.

It breaks my heart to see foreign nations dominating the West African market when there is NIGERIA. How can Ghana import fuel from Europe when we have crude in abundance here in Nigeria? We could have supplied the entire region with our refined produce, think of the jobs that we would have created by this singular act.

Incompetent leaders everywhere.

A large part of what we import is fuel, petrochemicals/raw materials and refined petroleum products and fertilizers which we won't be importing starting 2 years from now.

Tell us who the importers are ?!
Put into consideration noise making n cheating does not qualify as import. Do also note that import is not measure in quantity of okrika n used spare part. I know me n my friends imported over 60 cars alone this year so am waiting to hear who the real importers are.
