Association of Movie producers Chairman Bayelsa state Chapter Comrade Opoikumo Jerry Maxwell, on Tuesday, advised Movie producers in Bayelsa state who have not registered with the Association should try and do so to avoid unnecessary embarrassment saying he will soon set up a welfare committee to support genuine Movie producers in the state saying he is making some moves to sign memorandum of understanding (MOU) with some hospitality outfits like Hotels, fast foods, and other sectors in the state just to create the necessary areas of partnerships in making sure the needed locations are available especially Houses to be released to movie makers in trust among many other things that the Association will support members making movies here in Bayelsa state.

Maxwell further said taxforce Chairman will be appointed soon to ensure the right thing is done when you are producing movies in his territory to attract support from the Association.

Jerry gave the advice in Yenagoa immediately after meeting with a representative of a yenagoa based production company the star house Movie productions that deal with training of actors and Producers.

According to him, he will soon be paying visits to different production Houses in Bayelsa state to see activities to ensure there is synergy between production outfits existing in the state saying he is in a discussion with Producers and marketers outside the state to visit Bayelsa at least we have virgin places they can use in the state, noting that his administration will deal with training and retraining of movie makers all round that his desire is to see movies coming into Bayelsa state and supports will be giving to such producers and welfare is key in his administration if you are a member of the Association of Movie producers (AMP)
