Tinubu Is A Builder: "On Your Mandate We Stand" Turns Household Slogan As Federal University of Agriculture Honors APC National Leader

There is this certain razzmatazz that comes along with electioneering campaigns, political slogans are meant to be memorable and pull attention to the political aspirant seeking an electoral office.

A slogan should correlate with voter's concerns and reflect the current political environment. It needs to be remarkable and concise. Great political slogans are not easy to come by, hence some great slogans have been replicated even decades after.

Check out Ronald Reagan's slogan for the 1980 United States Presidential election 'Are You More Satisfied Than You Were Four Years Ago? this slogan tops my number one political slogan of all times, direct to the point and self-explanatory.

We also have the hit slogan from Abraham Lincoln in 1864 "Don't change horses midstream"  this talked about his re-election campaign.

Then Franklin D. Roosevelt's first campaign slogan in 1932" Happy Days Are Here Again" was a banger that was reassuring after the great depression Americans suffered.

Tinubu's on your mandate we stand seems to be a slogan that is fast spreading like wildfire. Major platforms, political gatherings, discussion groups etc are not free from this slogan that is intermittently dropped by fans and loyalist of the former Lagos State Governor.

First and foremost is it even a slogan? The Jagaban has not yet indicated his interest in vying for the presidency but yet his adherents sing it like a National Anthem.

A mandate is defined as an official order or commission to do something, so why the slogan on your mandate we stand? In a desperate search of how the slogan came about, I stumbled upon a video where Jagaban was acknowledged by friends and associates in one of his yearly colloquium as part of activities marking his birthday.

He was practically honoured with a melody of the song 'On your mandate we shall stand," see lyrics below...

"On your mandate we shall stand... on your mandate we shall stand, On your mandate...On your mandate...On your mandate .....On your mandate we shall stand."

Getting to see great faces which included the Vice-President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo and numerous other top-notch political associates, then I fully understood the mood of the crowd.

Tinubu is a builder, a teacher,  likeable, lovable and above all an inspiration to all and sundry. His political sagacity is worthy of emulation even by his critics and detractors.

It is not surprising that since that event which occurred in 2020 to date the Jagaban is always complemented with the slogan "On Your Mandate, We Stand". No doubt this slogan would shape the coming days ahead as it has turned into a household nomenclature.

Meanwhile, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Markudi, Benue State to receive an Honorary Doctorate Degree( (D.Sc. Honoris Causa Management) from the Federal University of Agriculture Makurdi.

He's been accompanied by the former Governor of Adamawa State Muritala Nyako.

It is clear that Tinubu's antecedents have built a strong reputation for himself that his political students, fans and loyalist are confident in his ability to restore the lost glory of a great nation called Nigeria.

A golden fish they say has no hiding place, today everyone is identifying with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu even when he hasn't indicated his intention to seek the 2023 presidency.

We stand on Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu's mandate for a better Nigeria.

True.

He started by building up his hometown of Iragbiji. Hospitals, two universities and a solar powered borehole were all built by Tinubu.

Tinubu built over 300 houses for poor people in Iragbiji.
