As hardship, lack of massive job creation from the Government of Nigeria which has kept millions of Nigerians jobless while many ends up becoming self-employed in a country blessed with both mineral and human resource

Who to blame, the corrupt Nigeria government or the innocents Nigerians masses, the truth is that everyone is looking for a survivor, so today am going to discuss on the difference between boss and leader

That you may ask? But what is the difference between a boss and a leader? You will find out as we proceed

First, every leader is a boss. But every boss is not the leader. This defines the difference between a boss and a leader. The biggest difference between a boss and a leader is one.

From my years of experience as an entrepreneur. The boss is respected and obeyed because of his/her seniority. A leader is respected and looked up to as an example not only because of seniority but mainly because of the qualities of character and ability.

Because repetition is the mother of learning, let but it this way again. A Boss is respected and obeyed because of his or her seniority [Position At Work]

While that of a Leader is respected and looked up to as an example not only because of seniority but mainly because of the qualities of character and ability

For Leaders
Those who aspire to become leaders must lead by example. The team must always have a firm belief that the leader will be there during every crisis. this is completely different from the type of political leaders we have in Africa, those are not leaders but looters, so spot their differences

Leaders are not to fix the blame, but to fix the problem. same way leaders are not to be going up and down blaming other people and things under his domain, but to find solutions to it

In the leadership cycle, if the team members find that the leader does not follow what he/she preaches, they will have no respect for him/her. So a leader must do what he or she preaches

Once a leader failed to practice what he preaches, open finding out people may obey him/her, but respect will be missing. Leaders gain this respect by their actions.

They look and act sincerely. There is no mismatch between their words and actions. They look integral in approach and character.

To be a leader, every boss must display characteristics such as knowledge, planning, anticipation, foresight, action, result-oriented approach, perspective, respect every team member, earn their respect, act as a friend and act as a mentor.

A Good leader listen more and speak more by his or her deeds not by words, in other words, a good leader talk less, but his actionable results speak louder

This is quite a list, but if you want to become a good leader you need these qualities. This is true not only for national leaders but for persons in every leadership position in any organization, private companies

Once a person earns the respect of his /her team members he/she ceases to be only a boss and transforms into a leader. so is best you work on your leadership career than promoting yourself as the boss
