The first experiment that tried to prove the existence of a soul by weighing cadavers is called 21g experiment. Maybe you didn’t know about it and unintentionally used it to back your argument.

The concept of soul is a deep mystery that we may never grasp. Think of it this way; Your body and your cloth, your body and your car. If either your cloth or car gets badly damaged, you will have no option than to abandon them. What I am trying to say in essence is that the real you lives inside your body and that is what is fondly referred to as soul. Just like the analogy of cloth and car, if your body gets critically damaged, your soul will leave and that's called death . That being inside of you that feels emotion, takes decision, read meaning to things, etc before instructing your physical body to act is the real you or your soul.
