Cally Air: Arrival of 2nd aircraft excites Ita-Giwa, commends Gov Ayade


Princess Florence Ita-Giwa (OON) has commended the Cross River State Governor, Sir Ben Ayade for establishing the State commercial airline, Cally Air.

Ita-Giwa said the arrival of the second Boeing 737, barely three weeks after the arrival of the first Boeing 737, 144 seater aircraft on April 6, is a bold demonstration of Govermor Ayade's commitment to ensuring Cross River maintains her dominance as Nigeria's tourism power house.

"News of the delivery of the second Boeing 737-500, aircraft in the fleet of Cally Air will justifiably excite Cross Riverians. The arrival of the Boeing aircraft marks an epoch in the state's concerted and sustained drive to maintain her dominance as Nigeria's tourism power house," Ita-Giwa lauded.

The Senator who represented Cross River South Senatorial District between 1999 and 2003, noted that "Cally Air is a welcome addition to the unique touristic assets owned and developed by the Cross River State Government."

Ita-Giwa, while urging support for the governor for his audacity to dare, maintained that "the zeal and drive of our governor, Prof. Ben Ayade to consolidate Cross River State's position as the most valuable tourism brand in Nigeria is most remarkable."

According to the former Special Adviser to ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo on National Assembly Matters, "His bold initiative for establishing an airline at this time is without a doubt a vote of confidence in our state's preparedness to continue to blaze the trail in tourism and hospitality.

"It behoves on us Cross Riverians now to lend the full weight of our support to the visionary leadership and the various initiatives of our dear governor."
