Endsar Protest Exposed The Weakness And Lapses Of Nigeria Security System by Nobody: 3:05pm On May 01, 2021 |
The endsar protest was a blessing in disguise for the Nigerian government, it exposed all the weakness and lapses in our security system, also, in another way, the endsar would have been avoided if the Nigerian government didn't underestimate the power of its youths and also overestimate the strength of its security systems. The government totally lost control of its security systems no wonder very haste decisions were made to de escalate tension. To be realistic, endsar protest was a very good event but when destruction and the agenda of regime change was pushed by the sponsors, the event lost its goals. Since the endsar ended, the country has been in choas, the after effect of the event especially on our security apparatus still persist till today. The Endsar effect will take a while before it subsides but i believe we will get back to normal soon. If the government is very serious in re-organizing our security, they will access all the weaknesses of our security forces, reinforced them and also try to rebuild trust of our security forces among the population. Now is the time for government to also provide lot of training for our security personnels and also to motivate them, free transportation, free housing, free medicals and free education for their children and not neccesarily increase in salaries will help in motivating them, proper training jears and proper equipments, training on proper ways to de-escalate conflict will help in building morale and help in repairing lost reputation. The time is right for the Government to take every sensible measures to save its security apparatus and the country, they should see the endsar as a lesson to know the weaknesses of all our security apparatus and infrastructures and learn on how to build them back for effective prompt service delivery of enforcing law and order. |

You are right , the protest exposed the incompetence of the FG in handling security issues in the country and other important issues.. The police are not extorting people on the street like before... The unnecessary road blocks have been reduced There are still more to be done though... The bandits, Boko haram and kidnappers are still having a field day across the country most especially in the North.. The military also need to fish out the saboteurs amongst them and also in the government cos trust me those criminals have insider in the government.. Secured environment create an enably environment for business and development 2 Likes |

helinues: The truth of the Matter is that police still Extort secretly and also on the highways. There are still lot of roadblocks on the highway, let no one deceive you. the police, the frsc and the army still extort but not on every road block, atleast the some of the army have been very professional when carrying out their duties. I noticed the victim of most extortions from the police are the trailer drivers. Another reality we need to face is that our military are over stretched that is because the police are ineffective, it is only in Nigeria, where the military men are every where solving every internal crisis, if the police were efficient and working that should be their job. The military is fighting bokoharam, kidnappers, bandits, militants, ipob terrorists etc, they are also on the high way. I believe a reorganization of all our security agencies apparatus and most especially the funding and training of police, we help reduce the stress on the military. |

Don't forget the government instigated the chaos when they sponsored thugs to disrupt the 2weeks peaceful protest. I will never forget people like helinues supported the killing of protesters. Our lawmakers are in fact the law breakers 1 Like
