Shoutout to our very own, Dr. Charles A. Malgwi who received the Prestigious Bentley University 2021 Gregory H. Adamian Award for Excellence in Teaching! This award, according to the Office Of The Provost of Bentley University states, “This annual award is given to a Faculty member who demonstrates a consistent commitment to educating Bentley students by challenging them intellectually and serving as a source of inspiration and motivation.”

Dr. Malgwi has been an Accounting Professor at Bentley University for 23 years. This award is unlike any other in many respects to Professor Malgwi. Bentley University is one of the best Private Business Universities in the United States. The University is endowed with outstanding Faculty and scholars and best known for teaching. Winning such an award in such a competitive environment of world class teachers is nothing short of impressive! Secondly, not many minority faculty receive such an award. Accounting is perhaps one of many students’ challenging courses. Therefore, motivating students as an Accounting Professor can be a real challenge, especially in the midst of a pandemic where many classes are conducted remotely.

Professor Malgwi earned his PhD in Accounting from the University of Reading, United Kingdom; his MBA from Suffolk University, Boston, USA; his MSc, BSc, and professional Diploma in Accounting & Finance, all from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, Nigeria, and a graduate from Teachers Training College, Waka - Biu, Borno State, Nigeria. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Fraud Specialist (CFS), Certified Board Advisor (CBA, and the Founder, President & CEO of Corruption Prevention Institute (CPI).
