Who registered these people? How can INEC register underaged voters and still come forward to tell us the election was free and fair?

How do you tell if they are underage by merely looking at them?. May be they are malnourished due to the fact that all the food produced in the North are shipped to the lazy south who cannot farm to feed their children. Shall we Northerners continue to feed fat while our brothers in the South die from kwashiokor?. You people should stop accusing Northerners of what you are not sure of after all, stealing, cheating, 419, rituals, dealing can only be seen in the south. The only sin we Hausa-Fulanis commit is massacring infidels and na because Allah sent us to do it  o.

My question to all of you criticizing.Should Inec not allow this people to vote or register. Just some few things to note

1. If Nigeria as country was serious about keeping birth registry , this could have been avoided.

2. we should look at the fundamental problems in Nigeria other than the outside(even women reduce their age in other to get married in Nigeria)

3. Our football teams uses wrong age to bring back trophies and we celebrate.

4. Why must it be different or disgusting when it comes to voting.

5.In the western world if someone in a shop or a club dispute your age , they ask for your ID, what happen to National ID or what criteria does Inec      follow for registration.
6.Our politicians declares false age , documents, assets. The last big time false documentation I saw in Nigeria was our signed budget by Yaradua when he was probably dead and up till today no one have been held responsible for such act.

This simples shows a failed state. with all the money pumped into local authorities, birth and dead registration should be intact. Do we expect INEC  to be the one to verify age before they register people given the sudden rush to register at a limited time some few months ago.
Come next election , it is still going to be the same old story.Until Nigeria as a country and people are ready to move the country forward, things will always be the same , so it does not surprise me. Countries like India,China ,and even Zimbabwe have a strong national ID program but Nigeria is all talk and spending money.

Well said,From the the top level to the bottom. In 21st century, there are still report of ballot snatching.Only yesterday Dora has confirmed what I always say about the just Finished election.

Erstwhile Information and Communications Minister, Prof. Dora Akunyili, has dismissed Tuesday’s rerun election in Anambra Central senatorial district as a charade.

She said: “The Independent National Electoral Commission set out to conduct credible elections, but desperate politicians, such as Dr. Chris Ngige of Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, were determined not to see that happen. Ngige has once more done what he knows best, which is stealing the vote.”

Narrating her ordeal in a press statement signed by her Special Assistant on Media, Mr. Isaac Umunna, Akunyili said: “In all my life, I have never witnessed the kind of thing I saw on Tuesday. The level of intimidation of our party agents and disenfranchisement of my supporters was unprecedented. In some places, this shameful conduct was perpetrated by the thugs of the ACN as security agents who were supposed to checkmate them looked the other way. In a place like Nkpor, my agents were chased away and people who came out to vote for me were turned back.”

“As the party in power in Anambra State, APGA could have easily mobilised to physically challenge this brazen disregard for the provisions of the Electoral Act by renowned election riggers who see politics as a do-or-die affair but we chose to do otherwise so as to prevent bloodshed. This is in keeping with my commitment to clean politics, having earlier taken an irrevocable decision never to engage even a single thug as I do not see my political ambition as good enough reason to cause trouble or shed the blood of anyone.”

Akunyili said that in view of the circumstances under which Ngige was declared winner with 69,725 votes as against the 69,236 votes credited to her, she had no reason to congratulate him.

“I would have been the first person to congratulate Ngige if the rerun election was free and fair because I am sensible enough to know that, as is the case with every contest, there could be only one winner of the election. I, however, have no reason to congratulate him because this was a clear case of daylight robbery,” said Akunyili, who led with about 1,000 votes before the rerun ballot held in areas where the April 16 voting was declared inconclusive by INEC.

The one-time NAFDAC Director General noted the mournful mood in Anambra State after the announcement of Ngige as winner of the rerun election, saying it was strong evidence that the will of the people had not been respected.

According to her, “There would have been spontaneous celebrations across Anambra Central in particular if Ngige actually won the election, but the reverse was the case. I will, however, not be surprised if, in keeping with his tradition, he hires a crowd of celebrants one of these days so as to give the false impression that the people are happy with his stolen mandate.”

Urging her supporters to remain calm and law-abiding, Akunyili assured them that what has happened is a temporary setback.

I posted the below on another thread about this issue of underage voters.

That underage voters were spotted in the north is a fact and highly condemnable. That underage voters who still went ahead to vote voted for CPC isn’t a fact but mere assumptions. How are we sure that they or some of them didn’t vote for PDP or others? Remember that these underage voters voted during the NASS elections where PDP carried the day and even in the presidential election PDP still have significant votes cut across the same north. As i am writing this, i learnt PDP is currently sweeping the north as far as the guber elections is concerned.
Besides, who Registered the under aged voters and why? You cannot blame Buhari for that. He is not in charge of INEC nor is he the chief security of officer of Nigeria. So blame INEC, Jega, PDP, and GEJ for the lapses in the electoral process. They were the direct managers of the process.
Re: Kids With Guts; Leaders Of Tomorrow Waiting To Vote (pic) by Akolawole(m): 8:20am On Apr 29, 2011
Buhari can NEVER be part of this!  How i wish we know the polling Unit where these took place!

Nigeria we hail thee.

If this was an advantage to CPC, how about the massive rigging in south-east and south-south. It is award winning feat!

PDP is still  Nigeria greatest enemy, the thoughts of Anenih , Bode George,OBJ, nothing can work.Look back at all the PDP state during this election , it is just problems upon problems but people are refusing to see. They now want to hang Buhari forgetting that Ribadu and ACN had a strong ground in the north until Rabidu defected. I will say this now, watch out for Bankole, Iyabo for a come back, all preplan on PDP agenda. All of a sudden PDP is losing everything in Ogun state and yet they did not lose in other strongholds. Very free and fair
Re: Kids With Guts; Leaders Of Tomorrow Waiting To Vote (pic) by jmaine: 8:28am On Apr 29, 2011
You can't blame them for registration and using underage voters cos the Sharia law made it expedient that majority of the citizenry in those states have been disenfranchised due to the glaring short sleeved and long sleeved styled limb amputation  punishment for petty crimes    wink
Re: Kids With Guts; Leaders Of Tomorrow Waiting To Vote (pic) by teskyg: 8:30am On Apr 29, 2011
That was their plan.To registered under age people and claimed they are more in number. This was Buhari plan, It didn't work.I hope this pictures is circulated round the whole media houses.Shame to the aboki for claiming the elections was rigged.

COMPLETE  IDDIO-T IS BUHARI. HE HAS SEEN THE KIDS HE BROUGHT TO VOTE 4 HIM , UNDERAGED AND HE HAS COME OUT TO CONDENM AND SAY THE ELECTION WAS RIGGED. ALSO TUNDE BAKARE WHO CLAIMED TO BE MAN OF GOD MAKING SAME CLAIM. BEFORE NOW, I WATCH HIS CHURCH PROGRAM AND RESPECTS HIM, BUT NOW, I NOW SEE HIM AS A CAMELEON HIDDING UNDER THE UMBRELA OF GOD WHILE HE IS OF THE DEVIL. DOES HE ACTUALLY HEAR FROM GOD? AS A MAN OF GOD, HE SUPPOSED TO MAKE PEACE, RATHER HE WANTS TO FOLLOW BUHARI

After all just said , you are still blaming Hausa, it seems am dreaming.

Delta Governor  is helping by Buying 1020 Ak47 which will end up on robbers hands on Lagos Onitsha road

Akwa Ibom state governor is helping  by all the all the killings and kidnapping and looting.

I would rather have under age voters than having state sponsored Crimes backed with state money and governor immunities.

Make we dey all this sentiments down and run the nation as a state with law and order

so funny however the constitution of FRN superceedes that of the sharia law so that isnt applicable.

How is it Buhari's plan? Why didnt those in charge stop this mess during the registration process? Were these kids much more powerful than the security agents and govt?  Are u saying that PDP (especially those governors) and other parties also didnt benefit from this?
