Can You Help Track A Stolen Phone? by Lucrativress(f): 11:13am On May 10, 2021
On our way heading Home, we had a little collision with an Okada Driver on speed, got down to check the havoc, didn't know the Phone dropped, drove off to notice it,called severally,a Driver picked up,seems like he saw it with his Passenger's, we pleaded for it to be picked up,cause we weren't far from the Scene,he told us to go somewhere, we did, waited for hour's, kept on calling, spoke with about 3 of the Passenger's.
The long and short of it is that, the Driver only pretended to the Passenger's he will drop it,wasted hours of our time till it was obvious he wouldn't, then switched off the Phone.
The Phone's pack is still intact with receipt of payment,Phone was last switched on around 8:30pm yesterday night.
Please if you render the service of tracking Phone's, abeg let me contact you.
This happened yesterday evening till 8:36pm

Hi @Lucrativress
Are you doing good?
It's been a while. smiley

I mailed you directly 2 Fridays
ago, i.e., on May 28. Have you
seen what I promised you on the other thread in your mail? Check
the inbox or spam folder in case
you haven't.

I empathise again with you
over the phone loss. I know that
feeling too as I stated in the
email.

NOTE:
As the situation stands, the
Nigerian Police are the only
body that have the authority
to track lost and/or stolen
phones using the IMEI number
or numbers (if you use a dual
SIM phone). The elite Nigerian
Police 'IRT Unit' does the tracking
and a lot of kidnappers who
used stolen phones to make
calls have been arrested by the
'IRT Unit' for over 10 years now!

As I said, private individuals are
NOT allowed to track their lost
mobile phones using the IMEI number in Nigeria except security
operatives provided you have
the following info:

1. Get a 'Police Report' to help in
establishing the solid fact that the
phone belongs to you. It will cost
you money.

2. Get the IMEI number(s) of the
phone (if it is a dual SIM phone, since it's actually 2 phones in 1).

3. Provide an alternate phone number the police (IRT Unit) can
reach you for follow ups.

4. Provide the police with your active email.

What else?

Aha! Yes...

You may end up getting to
spend more than the total
cost of your phone while trying
to use the police to track it, but
if the contents or documents in
your phone are very private
and important then you can
proceed by making firm enquiries about the police phone tracking
using the IMEI number by getting to a major police HQ in Lagos or a major police station.

Also find out about the cost of getting a a formal police report.

Hope this helps.
Talk to you later.

Take care. wink

I sent it to your email:
myent.....05@gmail

Read the mail, then download
the 3 articles which I had scanned as a single PDF attachment document.

Oh! It's okay... I thought the
phone belongs to you, good
you clarified this.
