There is a community after Ife you can get plantains around there, infact they have a market for it another is ikire in osun state.....good luck

Edo and Ondo state are good source of plantain.

Try Egbeta and Utese in Ovia North East (Pass through Okada area). I don't know of now but back in 2015, they load trucks to Lagos. There are other places that might be far cheaper and has it available.

Benin isn't a wrong choice to start with.
