IF you are in edo and still typing this rubbish may the Gods of our land decide what to do to you. Iseee. Lucky igbinedion is far bette than obaseki, since obaseki became a governor uhunmora secondary school is being financed by the community, they are raising find to rebuild the school, they employ teachers and pay them every month, they make chairs for the school in a state that has a governor, how about army day secondary school in ikpobal hill, the good people of lucky way and iwogban are the ones paying and employing teachers from their personal pockets so that their kids can learn, no chairs and teachers since the dunce became a governor, since November the edo state govt doesn’t have a spokesperson talk less of a commissioner, obaseki has been running a one man show, no commissioner for over six months, hold up all over Benin, no roads, flyover, Nothing, and to think people like you and slawomiir were campaigning with a pedestrian flyover at main gate. I pity for you and how you have chosen to support the useless man blindly, subvention funds from over 200 million to 40 million naira and you are here still talking of oshiomhole. I just pity your stupidity.for your info, edo generates and receives the 7th highest allocation in Nigeria.

WHAT IS EDO STATE GENERATING AS A STATE?

They are clamouring for salaries where the source of money is unpredicatable.

Edo state is a poor state not like Delta state, Rivers, state, Akwa Ibom state.

Most of the Edo indigenes survives on wired money from their relations in EU countries like Italy, Germany and some that are based in Canada and America.

The few allocations that comes from the federal government is not enough to even tar road.

That was the money Oshiomole and his political thugs were fighting governor Obaseki for before the crisis went out of control and subsequently consumed Oshiomole.

And that is why most of those governors want State police as quick as possible. I keep on saying it, isn’t going to be in the benefits of the indigenes but their own personal agenda.

Are you sure you are in Edo and pls don't bring Lucky into the picture, moreover five months arrears they went protesting at the school gate, why not government house to see the governor himself? Not having commissioners should been seen as reducing governance cost.

Edo State Government Bullies Protesting Staff Despite The Inability To Pay Salaries

*.....university activates on stand still as Unions insist on strike actions

....Big Joe parks deserted as student fails to resume

Today was a sad day as students watched their supposed fathers and mothers, lecturers, and tutors being bullied with tear gas by the Edo state police and PUWOV popularly known as Obaseki police. over agitation for their salaries arrears.

Staffs on arrival to the congress venue which was scheduled to take place at the University main gate were dispersed by men of the police force using teargas and threaten with guns

The Union lamented the negligence of the state government over staff salaries saying the state government reduced the University subvention from 271Million to 197 million to 94Million and now 41million respectively making it difficult for the university to fund itself

In a video recorded by the chapter's vice-chairman who lamented the agony and pain, she is currently going through being unable to take care of her aged mother, children, and family at large. She also lamented how nobody wishes to borrow the staff of Ambrose Alli University money because of already accumulated debt.

Speaking with a senior student stakeholder of the university on the lingering crises he said

"My Dad is a senior professor at Usman Danfodo University and I know what we face at home when he is being owed salaries not to talk of families who both husband and wife are earning from the same school"

He further said that "going by my struggle experience you don't win all bargains now since this people are agitating for 5 months the state government should pay 2 months and see if they won't come back to work but asking them to resume without anything us out of place and uttermost rascality because their 61days strike will be in vain"

It should be recalled that the staff of Ambrose Alli University under the umbrella of ASUU and JAC went on strike over 5 months of unpaid salaries and 13 Month Checkoff since March 24th, 2021 [ASUU] and October 17, 2020[JAC].

The Union chapters vowed to remain resolute until their demands are met.

But now that he has succeeded in blocking Oshiomhole's alleged lust after the said money added to the supposed fact that he never shared the money to Oshiomhole and his thugs, what is now stopping him from paying salaries from the bigger funds now supposedly available to him courtesy of cutting the thugs and godfathers off?

Now look at what is happening, a whole 5months salary. Y'all deserve him.

My own unanswered question to the Torgbarians, Ogbanes and 4 + 4ists is that why is their lord now finding it difficult to pay salaries and even avoiding appointment of aides and other things which have running cost now that he has more funds at his disposal on account of having cut off the hands of the godfathers, lions and tigers from the state's coffers?
This is always the end result when people vote on sympathy and sentiments than on germane issues. People were simply fooled with the theory that Oshiomhole and his gang were seeking to be godfathers in perpetual control of the state's treasury.
I will rather beg AAU lecturers to stop crying and face the reality they brought upon themselves by joining majority to reelect Obaseki. If the stoppage of their salaries and harassment by the police is their own sacrifice in contribution to the purported end of godfatherism in Edo State I think they should be happy having it like that. You can't eat your cake and have it. There is always an opportunity cost for every choice people make.
Hilary Rodham Clinton says and I quote....."People must learn to live with the consequences of their choices".
