And why do they think southerner don't rear cattle, sheep and goat? The locals know the boundary between farm and pasture, but not those trouble makers from the north.

VP YO and likes, were trained to obey leaders in a
every circumstances, as this is the will of God. He was trained to rather pray than to point fingers to the obvious flaws of the government of which he's part of. Likewise, many Nigerians we were given similar orientation to always be loyal to elders and people in authority, regardless of their bad demeanour. But I know in the Bible that Elijah looked King Ahab in the eyes, and made declaration that shook their nation at that time.

My point is "we should always tell the truth to powers", and "learn how to resign" if what we believe in, are being trampled. No, not VP YO.

All lands in Nigeria has current owners and you can only use land with
the permission of the owner or various states.

Having a cattle is not a free pass for illegally occupying people's land.

For all you ignorant ones, cattle grazing routes are gazetted in Nigeria.
These routes went as far as Egypt back to the deltas.
These routes were gazetted to accommodate the cattle grazing route as it was also a trade route between saharan and sub saharan Africa.

Over time and out of politics and bad governance some of these routes were appropriated by state executives and politicians and turn into private or commercial estates.
It is almost like building a swimming pool on a major road.
Now attendantly the issue of diversion of traffic and it's implication becomes a lawless situation where insanity and sentiment guides actions and decisions.
Truly, we most find a fair solution amenable to all to fix this cattle issue.
