They're explaining it wrong. His significant other was fat, so he helped her lose weight rather than replacing her with another girl or getting angry (and she became more attractive).

Now, Xavier postulates that she'll replace the man because she's now more attractive than she was in the past (since she can now get men that are "better" than him). Hence the conclusion that true love is not real.

True love is real. I am experiencing it myself. Stop with all this nonsense. You're just looking for things to justify your claim that true love doesn't exist.

If you want true love, learn to be vulnerable, learn to love yourself, learn to accept your flaws and other people's flaws, learn to forgive, and the list goes on.

True love also requires luck though.

When she was fat, she would do anything to make him happy because she wasn't getting alot of attention from other men. But now that he helped her slim down, she has started getting attention from men, she ceased to make him happy, she might even replace him lol
