Victory against Manchester City in the Champions League final on Saturday night will be worth more than £95m in prize money to Chelsea, with the squad set to share a £10m bonus if they become kings of Europe for the second time in the club’s history.

The players will still earn £5m if they lose to Pep Guardiola’s side as part of a collective agreement made at the beginning of the season that sees the entire squad rewarded
While key players will get a larger percentage of the pot, unusedquad members will receive a portion of the bonus. That means the likes of Tino Anjorin and Tammy Abraham will earn some extra money despite having only appeared in the group stages. Twenty four players have been used by the Blues throughout the European campaign.

Chelsea has already made €106.8m (£92.3m) from this season’s Champions League run but will get an additional €4m (£3.45m) for winning in Porto. That is slightly more than what City could earn because the West London club has a stronger historical coefficient.

Former Chelsea star Joe Cole is backing Timo Werner to come up with the winning goal in extra time when the Blues face Manchester City in the Champions League final tonight.

The German international has had a torrid debut season in front of goal for the London club, having hit the back of the net just six times in the league, but Cole feels he will come up with the goods when it matters most:
