Non-Buharists who are Abroad-Based Nigerians let me help you with Security Tips when in Nigeria.

1. As much as possible, avoid travel to Nigeria. Any travel that should be made should be HIGHLY ESSENTIAL.
2. When you travel, LIMIT the number of people that are told. It should only be told to very TRUSTED few.
3. If you have a TRUSTED member of the Nigerian Army or DSS, let them know your every movement.
4. Avoid staying in your family home. STAY in hotels, top hotels and keep a low profile.
5. It goes without saying, dont travel by bus or car. Limit it to flights & let your hotel location be near an airport.
6. If you have an American accent like me, make sure that you have a Nigerian friend that should do the speaking in public places, taxis, etc.
7. Use an Uber not a Bolt taxi or local taxi.
8. If you are an American, British, Canadian, etc, get the contact of your Consulate/ Embassy. Let them know your whereabouts.
9. Above all, KEEP a LOW profile and be very sensitive. Dont let it be an extended visit. Get what you want done and leave immediately.

Post them until you travel. You can resume your goodwill when you're back to base.
