Wow.

If no one will praise the western region, I definitely will.

West has been marginalized even before independence, yet we aren't crying everywhere.

Chief Obafemi Awolowo, you are the best of the best, ever!
Yet, produced the highest revenue as at then.

That is not divide and rule. That is common sense.

If a country provides certain resources, it doesn't matter the region it comes from, it is for the benefit of all.

Above all, western income exceeds her expenditure and yet, they were just given pea nut to survive.

What kind of divide & rule is this?

We really really need Yoruba nation, separate from Nigeria.

I am very positive that we will do well.

Now I understand why the British were so scared of allowing the political power to fall in the hands of the Yorubas.

Reverse is the Case. but that is life mehn!!! you either F**k or you get F**ked. lipsrsealed

And you chose to ignore what is glaringly obvious even to the blind... The 'North' gets almost 40% more than the East and yet the East is your problem.

Interesting, so The Eastern region produced the least revenue pre independence, yet the people that produced the least, will be shouting the most? Figures don’t lie.

The same scenario exist till today.South west generates the highest revenue in Nigeria followed by South south.

Totally. And still produces the highest revenue till date.

I hope we can see that Nigeria is dragging the Yoruba race down.

We need to cut that anchor so we can soar.

Even the British said it themselves that yoruba na olaju we love civilization that's why they were scared of us and would rather hand power to yeebow ass kisser Nnamdi azikiwe and illiterates from the north. We've really being carry the load and feeding these parasites for long. It has to come to an end

Very true.

By keeping Yorubas down, they do a great disservice to the African continent.

Look what west achieved with the little allocation, awolowo was a great leader, despite the huge difference in allocation, north and east couldn't achieve what awolowo achieved, in sw they were generation x3 of what they generate in east/North yet they gave west little

Yeah. That's to show that we have the brainpower indeed to create a very viable nation.

And people keep wondering why we Revere pa Awo so much.

That man was a blessing to his people.

Even till today, the formula never changes and both income & expenditure of all the regions are in the same order.

What kind of divide & rule is this?

Hausa/fulani and Igbos have always been the darling of the British.Yorubas must leave their useless Nigerian entity to The Darling North and Igbos of the British empire.Later those nyanmirins will come online to boast of developing yorubaland when they cant develop their own villages.

No much has changed. If you compare land size, population and revenue generation, the east is still getting x5 of what it should be getting.

Your obsession with the East will be your undoing...

The North gets favoured even far above the West and all you could say is that the East gets 5x what it should get.

Your hypocrisy stinks to the high heavens. Rid yourself of 'igbophobia' and live a healthy life free of BS!

Tell those osu pigs the next time they come to say oyel money developed Lagos. Imbeciles
OsuAmaka:
Cocoa money developed the Eastern region during the colonial period.
The western region have had to bear a lots of Injustice for a very long time. The British ensured that the the region with the highest revenue received the least allocation because they believed the western region was self sustaining while others with the least source of revenue received greater share of allocation to help them develop.

500,000 not 500, notice the £000
Meaning the northern and eastern regions were getting over 4million and over 2million pounds then compare to mere 500,000 for western region.
