Very good one. Next step is to adopt a unicameral legislature. Is every democracy this expensive?

Salaries are very much okay.

What should be trimmed to reflect economic realities are the unrealistic armed robbers allowances.

Imagine monthly newspapers allowances running into millions.

Pls who still reads printed newspapers in this electronic age.

If they must read printed newspapers, it shouldn't be with outrageous monthly allowances.

Same should apply to other useless allowances.

Some people still prefer the printed word..ESPECIALLY those of the older generation

Plus, Nigeria does not yet have universal internet coverage. It is much better than , say 2004, when cafes were the only places one could get internet..but there are still wide swathes without the web

Also, not eveyrone can own a internet compatible device.

In the spirit of restructuring to reflect present day realities, next should be devolution of presidential powers and redesigning that exclusive list.

It’s time the arms of government start to check the excesses of "the presidency". We’re not being ruled by a President but by the lackeys of a monarch.

Confirm, those thieves do not mind the nation to burn, as long as they keep paying themselves unrealistic sums. How can a rep member earn more than 3million monthly, while a civil servant earn 30k, this is evil. Nigerians must protest against this.

Our democracy is too expensive, this is destroying Nigeria.

salaries is not OKAY as you pointed out.

It is very high and the country is bleeding right under their neck.

they are stealing from the oil producing states to feed the unrelenting apetite of some bunch of greedy politicians.

The senate should be scrapped and replaced with a unicameral legislature.

Story for the zoo, oga judges need their own 2021 shares looted money for 2023 failed general elections, what a political strategy by the judiciary officials lobbying 2023 politicans.

No more freedom for politicans in our land.

Nigerian courts has been looting from innocent unarmed IPOB family members in conjunction with fulani terrorist presidency forces in Biafra provinces and outside Biafra territories.

The Plaintiffs in their consolidated suits stated: “RMAFC has failed to do any downward review of salaries and allowances of members of the National Assembly since 2007 in spite of the economic downturn in Nigeria. Yet, the commission is statutorily required to review the pay of the lawmakers, in conformity with the country’s economic realities and to achieve fiscal efficiency.”

So going by that, what's the difference between the Commission and RMAFC in their reviews of the NASS members?

We will keep saying this : These kids below are the ones that need wardrobe allowance, or anything increament in their lives.
And vehicles that will be taking them to and from school.
Not our senators or any , retired, sitting, standing or crawling politicians .

Majority of our Senators since '99 have been total disgrace,
When it comes to spending money that comes to themselves and their associate, there would be an upward review and it would be implemented as quickly as possible.
However, when it comes to what would benefit the common man for example minimum wage, they would take forever to review it.

The worst thing is, if the same marginalized average Nigerian gets to power, he/she wouldn’t do any better than those currently there.
Cc : KM

Again,
These kids below are the ones that need wardrobe allowance, or anything increament in their lives.
And vehicles that will be taking them to and from school.
Not our senators or any , retired, sitting, standing or crawling politicians .

Those kids should never have been born! Having numerous kids that we cannot cater for is child abuse and extremely detrimental to development and cohesion.

When Bill gates hired a HR, he fixed the salary for the HR, not the other way around.
RMAFC (HR) cannot succeed with this task on NASS (fake Bill gates). And like the comment above mine, their salary is a lesser evil while their allowance is the principality. The real Bill gates are the good people of Nigeria. But you know how messed up the citizens are presently.
So this court order is DOA.

I have never seen anyone from the east who was so passionate about seeing Buhari succeed as Mr Monday Ubani. His passion for a better Nigeria always would always burn whenever he spoke on radio and TV in Lagos. Today, the young barrister is hiding his head in shame.

Indeed, Buhari disappointed many people, including myself. Imagine Mr Monday Ubani and others have to get an injunction to compel RMAFC to slash polticians' salaries. Meanwhile, nobody got an injunction to compel the minister of finance to slash federal workers' salaries.
