What do you know about International politics?
What does the US need from Nigeria outside of oil?

The oil extraction is already controlled by foreigners.

Where were they when Kashoogi was murdered? They kept quiet like dunces.

Where were they when Trump was denied his freedom of speech by banning him?

Where were they when EU enacted GDPR?

We are a sovereign nation and we will fry Twitter until the b norain of Jack is reset.
Useless talks as usual. You forget your country still depends on those countries listed for alot of things. Even military hardwares etc.
No make America vex and choose not to sale for you as they did Jonathan and block any other avenues which you can buy.
Nigeria is nothing even compare to a state in US.

You think Nigeria is the President of Gambia? Nigeria is strategic for partnership in Africa for most world powers. West messes up, we move to China and Russia for weapons and trade. China and Russia mess up, we shift to West.

It is all about national interest
You're a big fool. How come Jonathan couldn't Successfully move to those countries for weapons and trade? If Nigeria messes up they will mess Nigeria up faster than lightening.
Nigeria depends on the US on a lot of things.
Do you know the amount US send as aids to Nigeria? If they want destroy you...they will. Ask Venezuela, Iran etc.

Was trump not out of line like Buhari? Why do u think all social media banned trump not just Twitter? Tho i supported Trump initially he was aggravating the election situation unnecessarily not using the right channels or accepting the electoral systems. If there were compromises as suspected he should have followed the right processes not inciting arnachy.

The Internet is a global village, hence, Social media is not just a means of communication but a global system of expression.

Banning such forms of expression doesn't speak well of our information, communication bodies and most especially the government. So I still believe the government was Ill-advised on banning.

The government should have consulted the country where Twitter has its headquarters before banning. But that's what they are just doing now... I wish nairaland can be as big as Twitter one day. Nairaland needs an app

And what do you have to say about limiting speeches? Does that also comply with freedom of speech? Where tech giants like Twitter aggravate, influence and censor communication? Are they above the law?

Or is it because it succeeded in rubbishing the former USA president without concrete action taking against it.

Twitter is in-loop with politics. That the world knows now. It can throw a nation into turmoil at will.

I am laughing in Mandarin. You need to take up a course in International Relation, Politics and Diplomacy. Maybe when you do, you will have a better understanding.

For now, all what you typed holds no ground!
I'm a Political science student. I know about all the nonsense you saying but I'm telling you he is right. As much as Nigeria is a big brother in Africa. If the West wants Nigeria out of the way... They can do it easily. Empower Nmandi Kanu with all he needs including, weapons, Intel's, money, connections etc. And use NATO to wait at the side while the war start then they come in and divide Nigeria and pfew , Nigeria is gone. Ask Libya, ask other states.. even Libya was doing better than Nigeria yet they destroy them who then is Nigeria?

Misplaced priorities
AntiBMC:
Hehe...ds fulani people are high from bathing cow piss all the time.

Summoning the envoys on something as petty as twitter? Extra 55 people were killed today, where is this same seriousness used for ipob nd twitter? Why not use the same seriousness to crush ISWAP? Terrorists.

All the envoys go just they laff those cabal m0rons for their mind. The only reason they'd change their position is if as usual, fulani cabal gives them a whole chunk of Nigerian resources for their silence.

Cos it seems, the western countries know m0r0ns are in charge, and they all want a slice of the cake.... China is already digging in as we speak.

It's so sad.

As of 2019, the governments of China, Iran, North Korea, and Turkmenistan have blocked access to Twitter in those countries.

These Countries Have Outlawed Social Media
China.
Turkey.
Vietnam.
Iran.
Bangladesh.
North Korea.
Uganda.

To some level I against the method and timing of the ban, but supported.

The Twitter ban is in anticipation of the 2023 election, they have witnessed the effectiveness of Twitter during the #Ensars movement. NBC crackdown on newspaper and radio station, Twitter. Buhari 6 years in government yet there is no evidence of electronic voting being rolled out to avoid election rigging.

APC/PDP intend to rig the life out of the 2023 election both parties have lost any credibility to govern Nigeria.

You are comparing democratic Nigeria to the autocratic countries above. Nigeria is a diverse country one of the most diverse countries in the world, if the government crack down on their freedom of speech the anarchy that will follow will be worst than the crises in Somalia.

Why should Trump be banned when there is Freedom of Speech?

Or freedom of speech only exists when it suits Jack and cease to exist when it also suits him, depending on which side of the bed he woke up from?
