I've been thinking on this for awhile that can ABUJA survive like Lagos if the federal capital is perhaps moved to another location.
At Abuja currently it's difficult to justify why accommodation costs or prices of properties is so high. To me everything about Abuja is just hype. There's no natural attribute that can support the city if the country break up today and everybody needs to relocate back to his or her region.

Australia -Canberra
USA ----Washington DC

Canada --Ottawa

A capital city for Nigeria does not need to be bigger than Benin City

It is the cash sharing that makes Abuja important.
30 Years later Lagos is naturally bigger

The place you are referring to is just a place where all the big companies like LG,Samsung,Caterpillar companies,car sales and services companies have their warehouses..
There is almost zero production activities going on there.

Northerner will use it has their capital, Government buildings are on ground, military Hq already available and embassies are here.

Industries doesn't determine whether a city will die or survive.
