Timothy Here Again,

As a professional student who is preparing for the November 2021 Diet Exams, you probably feel like you are not studying enough. I know… You have your job to do, plus other activities and commitments.

And I’m sure you want to have a social life and time out with your family and friends. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could study smarter (not harder), pass your exams, and live a balanced life?

Yes of course it would. That’s why I wrote this post especially for you. Besides, I was once a professional student, and I have since completed my professional exams. I used these core tips during my exams days, so I can verify that they work. They include:

1. Learn the same information in a variety of ways. The research shows that different media stimulate different parts of the brain. The more areas of the brain that are activated, the more likely it is that you’ll understand and retain the information.

2. Review the information periodically, instead of cramming. Periodic review is essential if you want to move information from your short-term memory to your long-term memory. This will help you get better exam grades. As the research shows, periodic review beats cramming hands-down.

3. Don’t multitask. The data is conclusive: Multitasking makes you less productive, more distracted, and dumber.

The studies even show that students who claim to be good at multitasking aren’t actually better at it than the average person. So as an effective student, focus on just one thing at a time. So don’t try to study while also intermittently replying to text messages, watching TV, and checking your Twitter feed.

Here are some other suggestions to improve your concentration:

-Turn off notifications on your phone
-Put your phone away, or turn it to aeroplane mode
-Log out of all instant messaging programs
-Turn off the Internet access on your computer
-Close all of your Internet browser windows that aren’t related to the assignment you’re working on

4. Simplify, summarize, and compress the information. Use mnemonic devices like acronyms, as these are proven to increase learning efficiency.

These tools will help you learn the information much faster and gain the needed confidence to pass your exams with ease.
