Which information? My friend please reason like a business man for once.
Leaders take decision that will develop the businesses of their people first before other people. I still don't know the essence of spending $1b dollars on a project you can't determine the economic value of it to Nigerians and you are here praising him.
Okay continue.......

Man... I've never supported Buhari for anything. My point of argument is that lack of information makes people receptive of this administration.
Yeah... Business wise, it's impossible to determine the economic value of spending such amount but on the long run, imports from Nigeria into Niger through those means will create tax returns, employment for the people.
I don't support Buhari for anything but I also don't habour senseless hate for him.

Where are all those fools and zombies that are happy every day here that the same hypocrite fulanis redrew the borders of Igboland and are forcing us to accept it? Have you seen that the fulanis are hypocrites? This fool doesn't want to accept British drawn international borders but wants us to accept his people's hypocritical locally drown borders that ceded Igbo people into other states. Wike of Rivers states must be the daftest and dumbest human ever to love. Long live the great Mazi Nnamdi Kanu for opening the eyes of Igbo zombies.

As far back as 1885 this man is still dragging Niger as cousins

But igbos that where split from their eastern cousins In the Same Nigeria in 1960's you say they should forget them

Meanwhile when is Yoruba asking for railway to their own Benin Republic cousins?

The President said borders were arbitrarily drawn by the French colonialists without taking into cognisance the cultural similarities of the people of Niger and Nigeria even as he revealed that he has first cousins in Niger Republic.

The same ZOO government that divvied up the BIAFRA land creating states using arbitrary drawn lines is now talking about France creating borders arbitrarily. This goes to tell you what the plans of the impostor in Aso Rock is. You can construct a railway line to Niger Republic but NONE going to BIAFRA land and you're claiming ONE NIGERIA. You must be JOKING!

Clueless & Incompetent

Stop trying to defend nonsense....if FG want to create an economic bilateral relationship with Niger then the expenses to create the locomotives for such regards should be made bilateral and not put the burden on the unsuspecting citizens of Nigeria.
Do you know how far half of that amount can do to our ailing Medical Sector or Electricity Generation sector? SMH @how you are trying to defend incompetence.

That's not valid in any form unless the Niger FG also shares part of the costs, we citizens are paying taxes unjustly because of some personal sentiments...very lame and useless excuse.

Exactly my grouse with all the hardship and after completing they'll keep looting the proceeds if there'll be any though..because I don't see how Nigeria will gain from such even Benin Republic as industrious as they are gain more from us because of the differentials in population!

We need young visionary leaders.

@Seniorwriter
If your " young visionary leader" is of fulani descent, you will get the same result.

You are talking total balderdash!! When does Nigeria plan to start producing to export to Niger? What facility does Nigeria have in place to kick off large production for consumption by citizens before even exporting to neighbouring countries. Nigeria is not secured and organized enough to kickoff trade with usurped countries like Niger that is overwhelmed by insurgency.

Muhammadu Buhari is clearly a Fulani ethnic jingoist with undeniable pro-Fulani/North agenda, but please, how did the Fulanis re-draw the borders of Igboland? Care to educate me on this?

You don't seem to understand international business Relationship. In this scenario, it ought to be a bilateral arrangement. You build the road and rail way to the edge of your country and the other country takes it up from there.
If you want them to use your ports, give them better incentives and waivers.
That's how it is done

I believe they lobby the Niger government about this, proposing to build an efficient and better route for their industrial goods and oil transportation architecture.

Don't forget Benin is trying to do the same but review their decision at the moment due to Nigeria's aggressive interest. You see, if the country loose this deal, then it is a big slap on the country.

Getting Niger to rely on Nigerian seaports and infrastructure to efficiently transport their goods and oil is a smart thing. We just sign Acfta deal and countries are looking for a way to get the the advantage of each other.

I think the government has tended a loan to build a railway from Port Harcourt to connect to eastern and northern states.

If we offer a better deal to Niger, they will surely have no choice that to go along with our proposal. The world is a competition, you compete or die out.

Although true he said that, but I feel punch is emphasising the sensational part over the economic reason he provided which is a fair point.

Niger has no access to the sea and if Nigeria gets its act together infrastructurallyn, we will be the preferred route for Nigerien oil (and uranium). Imagine the attendant jobs and revenue that will accrue to Nigeria as a result of this. Not to speak of the geopolitical influence.

China is currently reviving the ancient silk road that connected East Asia and Southeast Asia with South Asia, Persia, the Arabian Peninsula, East Africa and Southern Europe through road constructions, seaport development, railways etc. in central Asia countries, Pakistan, Iran and even Europe (read about it)

If Nigeria were to get her acts right we should be reviving the ancient trans-Sahara trate routes strategically building influence in the countries that currently occupy those routes (Timbuktu, Agades, Tripoli etc) non of these North African countries or middle eastern countries would have "nothing on us". But we are to busy fighting ourselves to see the potential in ourselves
Oga leave story, part of the major reasons this clown Buhari is building a railway to Niger is because he has first-cousins there, and also because there are Fulanis, Hausas and Kanuris there. These are his own words. Or didn't you hear him blaming a French man for how the Europeans partitioned Africa without considering the ethnicities of those they were partitioning? Buhari obviously has affinities with his people in Niger Republic more than he has for Yorubas or Igbos, yet he's the President of Yorubas and Igbos. Makes no sense. Not that I disagree with him here though. I mean, the Fulanis, Hausas, Kanuris should be in the same country with their people in Niger Republic. I as a Yoruba man shouldn't be sharing the same country with Hausas, Kanuris, and Fulanis. Good thing this came out from the President's mouth himself. Maybe it'll reset the brains of Yoruba sophisticated morons who want to die over "One Nigeria." But I know it won't though.
