The FG has promised to upgrade this Train and rail The VIP section is N400, But the conditioner is not working. It is very hot in the VIP section. The Normal train fare to Aba is N200. The train leaves Port Harcourt everyday at 9am. Port Harcourt-Aba train is about 50mins journey. It leaves Aba for Port Harcourt at around 3pm. On Wednesday is the peak.. Traders from Aba use it alot to carry goods and luggage's.

It is alot cheaper than bus to Aba from Port Harcourt. Bus charge around N1k to Aba. Train charges N200, vip N400.

Train of 1960s. I have used it many times. It is way cheaper and faster than bus. But very disappointing, it breaks down alot, most times in the middle of nowhere. It doesn't run on public holidays. It is always fun for first timers. |
