This shows beyond all reasonable doubt that you can’t give what you don’t have.

However, the job market in the country today is a war zone, a kill or be killed wasteland. On Jobberman, you find recruiters offering a HR expert with a requirement of at least 5 to 6 years experience a starting salary of N75,000. Not far away on Linkedin, another recruiter wants someone who will work from 8a.m to 7p.m on weekdays and 9a.m to 4p.m on weekends for a salary of N40,000. The sad truth is, in about a month, all these positions would have been filled with people who are desperate to make ends meet, desperate to survive and stay afloat in these trying times.

One would begin to wonder what the whole point of slaving away for 4/5 years in school was for. We were promised a better life after getting educated but alas, it is no better than if you had no certificate.
