Ademoyega was an ibo sympathiser ,though he wasn't the leader of the coup .He was part of the other ibo majors. NOTE : During the civil war , he fought alongside the biafran soldiers when Ojukwu Ojukwu released him from prison. He was later imprisoned by the same Ojukwu during the war , and was not released until after the war by the federal forces, who later on send him back to prison for his role in in the war. He was subsequently given a state
pardon on independent day 1974 .

.he was sent to the Telephone exchange instead that was why he and Ifeajuna the Coup leader had a fist fight in prison after Ademoyega found out that Ironsi had deliberately spared Gen Ironsi and all the Igbo Politicians in Lagos
