There is likely to be a fresh strike, as the Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Universities, (SSANU), advised the Federal Government to withdraw the circular directing some of its members not to be captured in the 2022 budget.

Speaking with journalists, the President of SSANU, Mohammed Haruna threatened that the union would embark on industrial action if the government refused to heed the union’s request.
