Make: Jaguar. Model: S-Type. Engine: 2,967cc V6 2 x DOHC 24V. Fuel system: Sequential, Multi-point fuel injection. Induction: Naturally aspirated. Cylinder head: Light alloy. Cylinder block: Cast iron. TRANSMISSION 5 speed automatic. Drive: RWD. PERFORMANCE Power: 240 bhp. Torque: 300 Nm (221 lb-ft). 0-60 mph: 7,5 secs. Maximum speed: 145 mph (235 km/h). RUNNING COSTS 26 mpg. Euro Emission Standard: Euro 4. Notes: Jaguar's revival of the original S-Type, which was first produced in 1963. Luxurious and well appointed, even the base model will have enough toys to entertain all but the fussiest of drivers. Platform (chassis) is shared with Ford Thunderbird and Lincoln LS. Whilst comfortable enough, the S-Type is often criticised as being an older man's car.
