It's because they bring their evil works to light so they would repent from it.

John 3:19-20 (KJV)

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

John 7:7 (KJV)

The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.

The world in this case include so-called Christians who do likewise, because they are not truly of God but of this world.

God bless.

The reason is simple been righteous is off no importance in this world.

righteousness is totally unrealistic/ UNTRUTHFUL. Its a FAD, its bs.

We live in a very principled word not governed by righteousness.

Preach about the core principles governing the world.

What has righteousness invented.

You can be righteous nd broke, another can be unrighteous and great.

Its all about achievements not righteousness.

If I am righteous will that make Nigerian buy his brand over the the brands of the unrighteous.

Lets live our lives according to the principles of this world and the constitution of the world/country and we will be fine.

Lol! you seem confused.

Speaking of core principles governing a nation and by extension the world, yet at the same refuting the important role righteousness plays concerning that.

Perhaps the principles according to you are as follows:

*Thou shall steal.

*Thou shall cheat.

*Thou shall not be accountable.

*Thou shall be corrupt and loot public funds.

*Thou shall commit murder

*Thou shall rape.

*And so on.

If so, you sound as if you're actually speaking reproached nations as Nigeria where corruption and such evils thrived, not the exalted nations such as any you could possibly think of where such exists but in the bearest minimum.

So it's only ignorance that could make you say righteousness is of no importance to the world, because the examples of most exalted nations in that world have proven the following saying in the Bible right:

Proverbs 14:34 (KJV)

Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.

A man can be righteous and still hate someone.

The love I am talking about is beyond loving your neighbor.

Religion is created to foster the growth of religion not nations. Religion doesn't have the correct answers to national/world problems.

Its like going to the carpenter for a medical case.

As stated earlier people are geting tired of religion and her seeds because they discovered religious teachings can only bring religious growth and nothing else.

Every body will not be a religious leader, or earn a living with religion.

So, their is no need occupying their minds and brain cells with religious knowledge when they need other knowledge to put food on their table and make the world a better place.

Only pastors and co should read the bible, etc. The others should read book about their carriers and future ambitions.

I dont hate religion.

I believe the world should be organised.

Religion should be left to do only it job.

Religion should not tell non religious leaders how to live their lives.

The constitution, tradition, etc should do that.

The Jews were expecting a Messiah like David whom God used to destroyed Goliath to free then from roman occupation and not a Meek Jesus that tells them to endure and turn the other cheek.

Apart from Jesus simple answer is because the people who preach righthousness do not follow righthousness

How can you call fire down from heaven to destroy a town because they will not allow them to enter and then be preaching righthousness?
Luke 9:54 When the disciples James and John saw this, they asked, "Lord, do you want us to call fire down from heaven to destroy them?"
55 But Jesus turned and rebuked them.
Comment: If Jesus has ascended into Heaven before this event His disciple would have done what humans are good at, and that would have been to destroy that town.

How can you stone someone for picking sticks on a sabbath and preach that as rightoeusness?
Numbers 15: 32-36 Now while the sons of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering wood on the Sabbath day. Those who found him gathering wood brought him to Moses and Aaron and to all the congregation; and they put him in custody because it had not been declared what should be done to him. Then the Lord said to Moses, “The man shall surely be put to death; all the congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp.” So all the congregation brought him outside the camp and stoned him to death with stones, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

He can because they were, the people, tasked with obeying, teaching, and enforcing the law. undecided

You should read Numbers 11, beginning from verse 1, for an even more spine chilling experience....some of the people craved meat aside from daily manna and they complained. God eventually gave them quail but also struck them with a plague before the meat had not even gotten half way to their stomachs.

I told you're confused.

You want to eat your cake and still have it but that's not possible. If you claim righteousness was of no importance to the world or a nation, stick with it. Don't contradict yourself and go and name love, which is basically what all acts of righteousness hinges upon, as one of the components that exalt a nation.

If you love your neighbor you wouldn't want to do evil to him. That's what righteousness is all about and what exalts a nation.

Except you're admitting that you made a blunder in the first place to say that righteousness was of no importance to a nation.

Then you're welcome.

Matthew 22:39-40 (KJV)

And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

There are two types of Righteousness' in the Bible God's own and man's own

When you preach more of man's Righteousness' in this world yes the world will hate you and it may cut short your life because you will start abusing God's own Righteousness'

This is what happened to John the Baptist

God told him who the son of God is but when he began preaching man rightoesness to the government the governor persecuted him

He then began thinking Jesus would do the same thing he did in order to bring him out from his problems

When Jesus refused to he began to question the calling of the holy one of God

This lead to his head to be cut off

Mans Righteousness' when you preach it try not to over ride God Righteousness' which is a gift and very powerful

They did not hate Jesus for preaching Righteousness' they hated him because he was the first man to equate him self equal with God

They considered it blasphemy

Where did you get this hogwash story you have there of John the Baptist from because none of what you claim is according to scripture? undecided

They did not hate Jesus Christ for preaching righteousness but only jesus he equate himself to God? undecided
So when the Pharisees sought to punish him for caring for the sick (work of righteousness) on the sabbath day, that was what? For sport? undecided

Hence the world definitely needs righteousness.

Here you go again thinking you can possibly know better Jesus concerning why the world hated Him.

The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.

That's why many Christians continue to walk in ignorance and may never come to knowledge of Truth so He could set them free.

You talking about nationhood here not a church.

PATRIOTISM IS THE HEARTBEAT.

Religiousness ideas are strictly for the advancement of religions not nations and the mases.

So we should never apply religious principles outside the ambits of religion.

Your phobia for religion makes you to lose your ability to reason commonsensically.

You said righteousness is of no importance to the world and a nation which is governed by principles. Then you went ahead to say righteousness (love) is one of the things that exalts a nation.

Continue hating if you like, but you have hence proven the saying in the Bible that "righteousness exalts a nation" is absolute spot on, and there's nothing you can do about it.
