Production Manager/Line Supervisor is needed in a Food Production and Processing Services company in Lagos State.

Job Responsibilities:
• Determine monthly and yearly objectives of line managers and review monthly KPIs
• Be responsible for continuous process improvement and implementation of best practice e.g., HACCP
• Ensure staffing of production floor within budget and in tandem with productivity requirements
• Ensure Health and Safety regulations are met
• Planning and organizing production schedules
• Assessing project and resource requirements
• Determine quality control standards
• Estimating, negotiating, and agreeing on budgets and timescales with cross-functional teams
• Liaise with Buyers, Marketing, and Sales teams
• Providing monthly reports of quality control, production numbers, safety, and other reports as needed
• Recruit, Train and Develop New employees

Key Capabilities:
• Ability to troubleshoot successfully and address production problems
• Must be able to headhunt and recruit shift and line managers with knowledge of the roles
• Must demonstrate expert understanding of the following aspects of production; efficiency, quality control, continuous processing, inventory management, operations management, equipment handling, spare management, shift management, and other related fields.
• Good communication skills
• Project Management skills
• IT and numerical proficiency

Education and Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years related experience in the Consumer Goods industry (preferably food and confectionery)
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Management or other related fields
• First-hand experience in production supervision, shift management, quality control, etc
• Must be comfortable with high volume turnout per production (minimum 10,000 cartons daily output and must be able to set targets accordingly)
• Hands-on experience in running manufacturing processes reliably and efficiently
• Experience in leading others
