Refinery: NNPC Has Collected Bribe Of $100m From Dangote, Jackson Ude Alleges by Itopalucky(m): 6:41pm On Jun 26, 2021
Nigerian activist, Jackson Ude has revealed that the board members of NNPC have collected a certain amount of money from Nigerian billionaire, Aliko Dangote in exchange for a stake in Dangote refinery.

According to Jackson, the act was in contrast with the advice of one Engr Mustapha Yakubu who tagged the stake deal as “scandalous”.

Jackson taking to social media, wrote; “Board members of NNPC have allegedly collected $100million in bribe on Friday from Dangote and swiftly approved Nigeria’s 30% stake in the Dangote Refinery despite warnings from Engr Mustapha Yakubu the 30% stak is scandalous”.

“Dangote will get an initial cash of $1billion,” Jackson further revealed.

Why NNPC go dey get stake in Dangote refinery sef? only God knows how much them invest in am.

Dangote nah one very lucky and smart man. I like him.

Government needs to start supporting millions of Nigeria entrepreneurs the way they have been supporting Dangote. One of the thing that will really help Nigerian entrepreneurs is for power supply to improve.

Even if his allegation of bribe turns out not to be true, that the Nigerian government through the NNPC has rushed to invest 30% claim in Dangote refinery,an originally projected entirely private refinery by Dangote, shows how shady Dangote has been all the while in his business dealings.
Dangote has like the average Nigerian multimillionaire, got stupendously rich chiefly from Nigerian government funds and contracts,I see no real businessman in him despite what some people might say.
I won't be surprised if the 30% invested goes to his pocket while the government becomes the one servicing the loan he borrowed.
At the end he would have effectively invested zero dollar in the refinery because it would effectively have been funded by the Nigerian government through the banks. He more or less just served as a guarantor of the loans he borrowed, the government doing all the payment while still paying him 30% upfront and making him the chief shareholder of the refinery.
