Popular American rapper, singer, songwriter and media personality, Montero Lamar Hill who is professionally known as Lil Nas X took to his social media page to reply to a fan who accused him of disrespecting Africa after he kissed a male dancer on stage last night.
The 22 years old American musical artist who is also a male cross-dresser wowed the audience with his song at last night BET Awards ceremony but he ended his performance by kissing one of his male backup dancers in his group. The whole crowd erupted in cheers the moment he kissed one of the backup male dancer, which suggests that they approve of his conduct.
His action sparked a lot of reactions with many notable Americans showing their support to him on social media. But it is safe to say that conduct did not go down well with the majorly conservative African population and some of them also took to their social media page to voice their displeasure.
One Twitter user even went as far as warning Lil Nas X to stop disrespecting African cultures and his tweet caught the attention of the young American rapper, who accused the Twitter user of pretending as if homosexuality is not part of African culture.

Lil Nas X was dressed in African attire during his stage performance at the BET Awards last night.
