My Colleague Needs Advice On How To Go About This. by Nobody: 1:26pm On Jun 28, 2021 |
I have a colleague who is interested in travelling abroad. I'm not in the best position to advise him because I have no knowledge or little (which I read here on NL) about travels. - Age: 33 years old. - Qualification: ND Certificate in Elect/Elect from a recognized school. - Skills: 3 years experience in Fiber optics operations & maintenance (Telecoms), electrical works & maintenance, computer & phone repairs. - Purpose: Getting a degree abroad & seeking greener pasture. He also thinks he would be more relevant in Telecoms field by the time he returns home after his first degree over there. Questions: - Which country would you recommend for him? - If the chance of going through study route is slim, what other ways can he take? - How much would the process cost? - How much is he expected to have in his account before embarking on this? - Is traveling abroad for those purposes impossible at his age? Your imputs would be highly appreciated. Thanks Cc: Justwise, DisGuy. |

US or Canada. His experience will likely land him a (good) job quickly. Telcomm companies always need people for those roles, especially experienced ones. US companies would snatch him up quick. He may qualify for Canada's federal skilled worker express entry program under one of these: 7202 7245 7246 7247 He should review the Canada immigration website and also review the program thread. Regardless of where he goes, that's a good job with opportunities to advance. He'll be in management with a good salary if he wants it. And his company will pay for school. 2 Likes |

With this profile and age, he might not qualify for Canada express entry..... He should apply for schools in Germany, Ireland and USA.... He still has more chances securing admission and visa in any of those countries. Single? Any kid? |
