Nigeria Has No Future, This Is What Africans Should Do by FreeIgbos: 10:49am On Jun 29, 2021
Reports emanating from the horn of Africa states that the Ethiopian federal government forces have suffered humiliating defeat in the hands of breakaway Tigray region. It's deja Vu once again for Ethiopia because they have also suffered an earlier humiliating defeat in the hands of Eritreans that earned them independence.

If Nigerians are wise, then the situation ought to call for sober reflections on our beleaguered country in particular and Africa in general. We fought a disastrous civil war in the years 1967 to 1970. There was a pogrom in 1966 and in-between till date, we have continued to fumble from one crises to another, and informed observers will tell you that the future is ominous for us.

It's obvious that the artificial boundaries Europeans drew for us, pitching people of diverse worldviews together for their own selfish gains has continued to destroy us. Ask yourself, is there any similarity whatsoever between someone from the core North with someone from the South? None!

So here is the only solution that will save Africa from impending doom. Countries must be allowed to divide if there is cogent reasons for it. Igbos in Nigeria are clamoring for Biafra. English speaking Camerounians are clamoring for Ambazonia. Tigrayans are clamoring for theirs and there are others too across Africa. Instead of us to be killing ourselves and spending scarce resources we ought to use in developing our continent to fight wars, AU should advocate that regions can be free through a referendum if they want. The fears of unviability of nations or having landlocked countries that would depend on aid or even instability are all fallacies because the opposite is actually true. With Afcta now in place, Africa can have a huge single market where we trade with one another freely just like EU.

There is no need having bogus nations with fake boundaries. Any critical observer knows that Nigeria will eventually decend into chaos, anarchy and wars in all its zones if concerted efforts are not made now to turn the tide.

For those that find it fashionable to threaten Igbos with wars all the time, you should remember that no force can defeat a people determined to be free. If superpowers like America could be defeated by ordinary Vietnam or USSR defeated by ragtag and impoverished Afghanistan then is it Nigeria that can't be defeated by Biafrans if they're determined? Forget about 1967/70 because we all know it was a proxy war between Britain and Biafra and such would never happen again.

Let's peacefully divide Nigeria now and avoid doomsday that is fast approaching.
