No Justice No Peace
Wherever there is injustice, there can never be peace. This is the fact everywhere: homes, families, communities etc. If this is true for these tiny microcosms, then it is very true for micro then it must be true for the macro such as countries. The injustice of the Mr Muhammadu Buhari led federal government of Nigeria against the other non-Fulani tribes of Nigeria, especially southern and middle belt Nigeria is to say the least an anomie.

The brazen lawlessness of his Fulani herdsmen in almost every part of Nigeria is an open secret. These people kill, maim and destroy: yet nothing has been done to any of them. None of them has ever been prosecuted. Rather, they are being protected and shielded from prosecution as we see some northern governors such the Katsina State governor, discussing and chatting with these bandits. I ask, who is fooling who?

Your security agencies are always quick to invade the homes and bases of agitators of self determination. At no time in the history of Nigeria has self determination been as vociferous as we have in Nigeria under your government. Does that not tell you something? You are simply an unjust and nepotic leader whose motto is Fulani! Fulani!! Fulani!!!

Your zeal for your people has shielded from you, the reality that Nigeria is a federation which comprises federating units. In a federation, every citizen is treated equally. No citizen is superior to the other, neither is anyone inferior to the other. It is a case of everyone being equal. But your appointments of people into key positions since you became president in 2015 is everything but fairness and equity. Mr President, except you change your style of leadership, and make it more equitable for every Nigerian, irrespective of tribe, religion, social status etc, there can never be peace in your tenure.

Your methodologies of intimidation and coercion are very primitive. They have little or no significance in this day and age of social media revolution. Let me remind you that if you kill Nnamdi Kanu and Sunday Igboho today, more than 1,000,000 of them will assume their positions. You know why? The youths are angry with the Nigeria project that does not have any plans for them. Their political leaders (this includes you) have failed them.

The solution to Nigeria’s problems is justice, fairness and equity. To think that that there will be peace when these are absent is nothing but a wishful thinking. Mr President, turn a new leaf before it is too late. The voice of the people can never be suppressed for ever. One day, the Nigeria people will rise up wherever they are: Maiduguri to Lagos; Kaura Namuda to Ibeuno; Katsina-Ala to Offa because they have had enough.

A stitch in time saves nine.

GOD bless Nigeria
