Hmm...this is another angle. Why not if she wasn't guilty. And most people don't even know that it's not mandatory to talk to a police officer untill You've consulted with your lawyer, you can follow them to the station, but you are not mandated to speak. But out of fear and threat people cave in, even when not guilty.
