PRE-INAUGURAL MEETING OF IZON FILM MAKERS (IFM) WAS A SUCCESS.

Ahead of the Bayelsa Movie Summit, the Izon filmmakers has held their first pre-inaugural meeting at the residence of a veteran filmmaker and the former Executive Director of Bayelsa State Council for Arts and Culture, Mr. Ineye Dudafa with other stakeholders in attendance.

The group used the opportunity to deliberate the way forward on how the Association can use the forthcoming Bayelsa Movie Summit to discuss how the Izon man across Nigeria and in the diaspora to see our culture be brought to limelight through indigenous movies to tell our own stories.

The meeting was to draw up modalities on how best the government, private sectors including international companies operating in the the region.

The Convener, Mr. Newton Barbra also thanked the Association of Movie Producers, Bayelsa State Chapter for coming up with the Bayelsa Movie Summit project for stakeholders to interact on the ways to make the state a movie hub.
