During clashes in Borno, troops from the Joint Task Force in the North East killed 11 terrorists and captured a stockpile of rifles, ammo, and a truck loaded with petroleum goods.

The troops were part of “Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK),” according to Brig.-Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, Director, Army Public Relations, in a statement released on Sunday in Abuja.

The toops of the 82 Task Force Battalion were on patrol along the Ngoshe –Ashigashiya Road, some 12 kilometers from the unit’s base, when they came face to face with Boko Haram terrorists near Daushe, according to Nwachukwu.

He said that five terrorists were killed in the violent fight, forcing the surviving terrorists to flee in disorder towards the Mandara highlands with many gunshot wounds.
