Abia State Commissioner of Police, CP Janet Agbede has called on a group alleged to have concluded plans to stage a peaceful protest in Abia State to cancel or postpone such protest, citing fragile security situation in South East region.

The Commissioner of Police in a statement signed by the PPRO of the command, SP Geoffrey Ogbonna, and made available to ABN TV said this warning follows an intelligence report at the disposal of the command.

She expressed concern that such protests could be hijacked by hoodlums if allowed to go on.

The Commissioner said, "Intelligence at the disposal of Abia State Police Command has it that individuals or group of persons are planning to lead protests of any kind in the State.

"In view of the Security Situation in the Country especially in the South East Geo-Political Zone, the Commissioner of Police Abia State Command wishes to advise intending protesters to desist or postpone such exercise forth-with.

"This has become necessary as hoodlums or miscreants may hijack the process to unleash mayhem on the lives and property of innocent citizens.

"The Security Operatives in the State have been placed on red alert as the Command will not tolerate any act capable of truncating the peace in the State."

A hungry man is an angry man. How can you beat a child and expect him/her not to cry.
The goat you are chasing has gotten to the wall.

Protest everywhere.

Buhari is reaping the fruits of his hateful ethnic utterances and Fulani jingoism.
