Someday, I’d like to be a dad.
I want to play dollhouse with my daughter and memorise the names of each doll,

kick a ball or jog with my son, read bedtime stories, play music and sing with no inhibition,

go on outings and show them the good side of life.

I want to encourage and push them into pursuing their dreams.

And turning their talents into profitable skills, scold them when needed, discipline when necessary, annoy them when profitable.

Teach them the importance of developing their spiritual life as much as their physical.

Show them that tolerance is the key to relating with others whose beliefs and opinions differ from theirs.

Pamper them, but not spoil them, for they have to know the world isn’t always a fresh bed of roses.

Heck, even roses have thorns.

I’ll not strive to be the perfect dad for that doesn’t exist, but I’ll make sure to be in their lives as much as I can.

By respecting and loving my wife I’ll teach my sons to respect ladies and give my daughters a standard.

People sometimes tend to underestimate the influence of fathers in the lives of growing children.
